  1. Thanks Welshy, I think I messed up the albums, I moved the file to another album, but then brought it back to the first one, thinking I am solving the problem, but looks like it did not.! I will upload it again.
  2. Can you see my entry for last Comp # 86 Metallic?
  3. Thank you HELEN and Daniel, @ Klaxxon, thanks so much. What I did is: Selected the top part of the image at the line where the stones meets the water, then copy it and paste it on a new layer After that I flipped the pasted selection vertically and used the Transparent Gradient to blend it with the stones texture, and applied a slight transparancy, the waves actually are still there on the bottom layer, but they are not clearly shown. , because they get covered slightly with new layer Feel free to use my previous version to create the new one, it is actualy very easy
  4. Thanks so much barbie, you are right, I too didn't like the edge. I think I like this version more, here I have mirrored the view and gave it some transparency:
  5. @ klaxxon, thanks for understanding the tute, looks awesome what you did, actualy yours are correct , my screws are in opposite direction, is that English standarts? Not sure. Just fliping the layer will change direction.
  6. I made this photo: From this set of Photos, by the way, all are my photos using my camera and phone camera Main Photo, which I don't like: http://i.imgur.com/8TPM8UP.jpg Landscape stones: http://i.imgur.com/tdQmuXL.jpg Cloud: http://i.imgur.com/mA9e4c0.jpg
  7. Thanks barbie and HELEN @ klaxxon, thanks so much, no I haven't, but the thread part is similar to this method, then Oblique plugin: But the cap and nut are new.!
  8. Sorry for the delay, You don't need to follow it to the later, there are some additional effect may not required to you. I am moving the white text 1 pixels to Right/Down and the black to up/Left for one pixel on each direction. More pixels moving gives you deeper effect.
  9. Try these two tutorials: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/19656-how-to-create-inset-text-in-paintnet/ http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/19274-engraved-embossed-pitted-metal/#entry327965 I am working on a different method, Is video only tut ok?
  10. Thanks HELEN for your comment, Tried to make it gold but failed, the texture is too rough for gold. Thanks Welshblue, Nice how real texture looks totally different after modifying it in PDN, appreciate your comment mate. A wallpaper: Threstiness (this is not the real name ) All %100 PDN
  11. I am sorry I wasn't clear enough. Nothing wrong with the tute at all, and thanks to the writer for putting this great job. But I was talking mathematically here, I believe it is not easy to generate a sphere from stitching only hexagonal shape pieces, there should be a combination 1 to 2.5 of pentagons and hexagons shapes, I hope I am wrong. I really like to see a ball from hexagon only shapes.
  12. I remember I saw this image before, barbie, I was amazed by the quality and still..
  13. Nice PDNing Welshy to the Daz S. It is not done yet right? Waiting to see the final.
  14. NIce image klaxon, that is definitely the closer to real Pattern.
  15. Congratulation Welshblue, really great work And also EER, Drew and SAND, nice work you guys as well, All Winners are M Great work of running the comp Daniels.!
  16. Solitary, is amazing, I like the colors and sparkling stars. great job Dryda.!
  17. Thanks, Red, Welsh, Sasha, Dryda, HELEN, Dug (miss you), Barbie and Ragdoll, glad you like it. Just a sig, From this, I took the photo using my phone: http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss69/sargon2/texture/ConcFloor2_zps435efcb0.jpg
  18. Welshblue and minners71, gave you the right way to achieve what you want. If the photo has a parallelogram shape as you are describing, then Oblique plugin will correct it, otherwise Rotate/Zoom will do the work as WeshBlue mentioned.
  19. Congratulations HELEN, Welshy and EER, great sigs all of you, EER, I should learn that less could be better, I am glad that I am able to make it before the dead line, because I need time to get the inspiration, then put it on PDN, and that usually stays for days, adding a little to it step by step, lack of time here. And DrewDale again you are so good in running the comp, and was so kind of you, sir, to list the fourth place winner,
  20. If you're asking me, then to answer your question is actually both, What I do first, is try to analyzing the final (existing image) then try to go back to its principles, through the way back in my mind, I can imagine some how what plugins could be used to get the required effect, of course, I can find more than one way to rebuild it, but with my experience with PDN, plugins and experimentation, I choose the method that gives me the most fine clean result plus shortest with less layers and less freehand touchups, so to be almost 100% digital. but the problem it is not easy "even to me" to remeber the exact steps of the method, that's why I record them as videos and post them online, to use then when I need so I don't go again through the analysation. Not sure if this make sense to you.
  21. @Minners71, that's awesome, has a good illusion in it.! I think it doesn't worth a separate thread, as the video doesn't comply with the tutorials rules and requirements, I will remove it from here, and create, maybe, a written version when I have time ., thanks for liking it You can post it in your own gallery thread.
