The program I used is Apophysis. PM me and I'll send details. Too lengthy to post here. The coloring is controllable within the program but can be edited in pdn. I use pdn exclusively for post production details, all editing, slicing and dicing is done with pdn. Did my sig and avatar this way. Click "My DA Gallery" below my sig to see more.
Anyway, let me know.

@oma: I have fallen in love with fractals. Thanks for your comments. I wanted to do a "pyrochild" type sig, without copying him. I think I succeded with the fractal approach.

It's very evocative! I like it! And you can easily solve the "moon is an egg" problem, if you want to, by just resizing down without checking the "Constrain Proportions" box.
But it's nice. Did you use stock images?
Did not use stock images. I used two of my own photographs. The moon is reddish looking because it was in eclipse and the mountain range was taken at sunset that day.

@topezia: Thanks for your input. If you play around with Apophysis get version 2.08 Beta. It works the best. Lot's of tuts at Deviant Art. PDN is great for assembling everything.

This is "Caterpillar Swamp." Moon & stars is paint.net.
Everything else is fractal work with Apophysis.

@ApathY: I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me but, do you use Apophysis? Click on my "PDN gallery" below my sig and look at a picture in my Fantasy category. There's an image there called "Fantasy River." The wings on the Fairy and the woods behind her were done with Apophysis. You might find it interesting.

@eddye: This is a great piece but it needs a subject. The eye has no place to go to. I love the colors and the diagonal texture. I'm thinking it would make a great background for something. Keep up the good work.

Where do you put this plugin after you've downloaded? I can't find it in pdn after I put it in the effects folder.
Never mind, I found it. It works great. This is awesome.
