  1. Here is another image I have been working on. You can get amazing grass textures with this plugin. The trees are, of course, made with TRs Treemaker plugin although the sky is a stock image.
  2. Plugin just gets better and better TR! Many thanks. I do have one suggestion though. Any chance of a reset button to return the settings to default? It`s just that when I go to make another image it obviously retains the setting from before(as you would expect) but it would be handy if I had the option to start from scratch with the new image.
  3. Can't wait to get back to update the plugin. Some awesome images being created with it. It looks particularly good at making clouds. Well done to everyone. Pixey that looks just like a painting. A nice frame would make it just about perfect.
  4. Thanks TR. The real magician is you for coming up with this awesome plugin. My magic trick pales in comparison.
  5. Thanks Red. Should`ve paid closer attention to the video! Great images posted and all so quickly! Sign of a really great plugin. Here is mine, called Cabbage Patch for obvious reasons.
  6. I have a problem with the plugin. I downloaded and installed it but when I try to use it the UI appears as it should with my chosen image showing but none of the controls work. I can`t adjust anything or tick any boxes . The only things that do work are the OK , Cancel or the red `x' at the top right hand corner. Very strange. I have just had a thought. Does this plugin require a dedicated graphics chip to work? I only have integrated and I know how limiting that can be with 3D work. I had to give up on Blender, Sketchup and Terragen because of this crappy laptop.
  7. Looks fascinating. Will have to try this one out. Great music too!
  8. From what I can see you just need to use the radial transparent gradient to blend in the edges. The trick to this tut us in the blending really. Practice this and I`m sure you will get the result you want. So far so good. By the way I have tried using the same settings again myself but never get the same result twice, which is good because when did you last see two identical clouds?
  9. Seerose , thanks . Do you have a Porsche then? Seeing as you posted a nice Porsche badge. Sozo - I know suns are trickier to get right than it seems. But with the help of Dryda`s Solar Atmosphere tut it makes it a lot easier. Bbq - Glad you picked up on the headlights, they are my fave part of the image. Took plenty of trial and error but I got there eventually. And yes there were afew layers involved but thankfully not a million!
  10. Brilliantly done Skully, love it! Great idea for the bells and the fact that the wheels were made from scratch makes it even better. One thing I have picked up on though is the placement of the rods driving the wheels. You have them both at the bottom of their stroke on both sides of the train whereas in fact as one side reaches bottom the other side should reach the top of its revolution. But great work anyway. Well done.
  11. Thanks Helen. Best of luck with your car , I`m sure it will be wonderful. Taken your advice Skullbonz and added a bit more transparency to the windscreen. Thanks for that. Also I adjusted the shadow a bit and added another colour. I can`t make up my mind which is best so I posted them side by side.
  12. Thanks Pixey. A photo eh? High praise indeed! New one posted I `ve called it Porsche Cayman for obvious reasons. With this one I traced over a photo to get the right shape but the rest is just a lot of trial & plenty of error. I used a PS tut (this one - http://alfoart.com/porsche_1.html ) as a rough guide to the highlights/shadows but I had to work out my own way of adding them using PDN . The alloy wheels and the Porsche logo`s are the only stocks used. I tried making the wheels myself but failed miserably. I think it looks better with the real thing anyway.
  13. What about Madjik's Light Rays plugin? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=4495 Or you could try a Lens Flare? (TR you beat me to it!)
  14. Skullbonz,Helen,NN- thanks very much. I do hope you mean the image on P1 and not the one above though. The one above these posts is a photo I used as an example, not my own work. Wouldn,t mind being able to make something like that though!
  15. Using 4.0.3 I have noticed with my latest project that the visibility indicators in the Layer panel keep disappearing . This has happened a few times now, the first when I started using PDN again after leaving it minimized on the laptop while using Sleep mode and now a couple of times while actually using it. A quick scroll with the scroll wheel on the mouse does bring them back but it is a bit irritating. So far they have not gone completely necessitating a restart of PDN or anything and hopefully they won`t either . It`s a very odd problem I have never experienced before.
  16. Thanks Dryda. Glad you liked the Transit idea. Great tut you`ve got there. With Above the Clouds I am glad you liked the clouds so much because they are made by me using my own cloud tutorial here that I posted some time ago. I have not made any clouds for a while so had a go just out of interest. As far as the contrast on the moon is concerned , my view is through an atmosphere similar to this image - whereas the one you posted is from space so pictures are not affected - like the stars twinkling on Earth but not in space . Oh by the way to save you the challenge of finding out which image it is ( ) it was taken from the Space Shuttle Columbia in 2003. I had a hell of a time finding mine as well. And Google is supposed to be the best search engine? I have my doubts. Thanks for the comment Dryda , you always seem to make me search the net for something when you do! (for some reason I can`t get a link working like yours, even though I paste the right one it ends up taking me to this forum!???)
  17. Thanks Barbie. Thought I would try a different style of title bar for this one (instead of the black one top and bottom ) . I think it looks nice. I might use this again.
  18. Thought I would have a play around with my old clouds tut to see what I could manage. At first it was just going to be a bit of a doodle, nothing much else. But as seems to be always the case I end up getting serious and turn it into a proper image. Everything is PDN apart from the moon and the nebula .
  19. Blingkin(oh dear!) good tutorial Pixey. Well laid out , well explained and easy to follow - a real necessity for a numpty like me! Hear is my effort (forgot to add the Trail effect but it`s still OK) -
  20. Thanks Helen,Skullbonz,Red and BBQ. Nice of you to take time to comment. Much appreciated. (I would add a smiley face here but I'm on the tablet and it won't play ball.)
  21. Works fine now TR, thanks very much. I don`t know what you did with the update but it has cured all my problems. I agree about the text boxes though. I also find it easier and more accurate than sliding scales.
