HELP!!!!! im trying to download some plugins, but i cant find the "local disk" in my computer.... why isnt it there? could it be called something else?

yes, im pretty much a noob to paint.net, but i think im already doing pretty good at it. One question: when you have something selected with the magic wand, how do you de-select that without selecting something else? Thanks!
