Nub

OOOMG I am so stupid...... All I had to do was 'import from file..' (what max power said, just confused me with 'create a new layer') aHHH thank you all for the help. :wink:

Ok so, I am trying to make a signature for this game I play. I'm trying to paste my character onto a background. The thing is, when I paste my character it isn't transparent and theres white surrounding it.. but when I open my character it has checkerboard meaning it is transparent?.. I want my character to blend in with the background hope you know what i'm trying to say LOL

I'm a noob at this -hence the username 'nub'- Say I have this picture. I changed the lighting/saturation and stuff. Then I have this other image that i'd like to paste on to the one i have just edited XD! how do you do this? Oh and I somehow did this one time but I forget.. When I did it the image i pasted onto my first image, it was square and had white surrounding it o_o. I want it to go with my background with no white (transparent?) i dunno lol. thanks
