Thanks for the reply, I will look into that tool Does it work well in pictures that are 'busy'? i.e. have a lot of detail that the timestamp overwrites? Attached is a sample of said stamp and the kind of detail thats hiding behind it

Hello, I'm very new here - please be gentle I'm looking to touch up some existing photos by removing the date / time stamp I've read that this can be done by using layers and whatnot but I think I'm going about it the wrong way Any help will be appreciated Rob
