    No not really, the drop shadow was mainly an example. What I need to know if I can run Filters/Effects on a layer not just only on the full image. According to the help file I can blend layers but doesn't look like I can run filters on layers, can this be confirmed? http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/L ... Modes.html Thanks SD

    Just wanted to say, love the program. I am used to photoshop and doing effects on layers, an example of what I would like to do is say create a new layer fill with a different color and then pop the new layer with a drop shadow POSSIBLE? Thanks SD
