  1. I finally got it. There's definitely something funky going on with the downloads. I got the correct one from the http://www.betanews.com/ site. The ones from download.com and dotPDN wouldn't work.
  2. I did try to install it sometime ago, but I've since done a reinstall so there shouldn't be anything there. It was awhile ago, so I can't be sure it was definitely before the reinstall....so now I'm searching my system for any old traces to be sure and I can't find any traces of it. I searched the registry looking for Paint.NET, but nothing. Nothing in program files. Nothing in add/remove programs and nothing shows up in the Windows Install Clean Up utility. Hmmmm.....
  3. Ok, gave that a shot and now the message is this: The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. My pc thinks it's the actual app and not the install package?
  4. I download Paint.NET v3.3.1. When I try to kick-off the install this message pops up: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\Paint.NET.3.31.exe is not a valid Win32 application I found this post and tried downloading that version of the file, but same result: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/a/ive ... t1532.html I'm have WinXP Pro with .NET Framework v3.5 installed. I did a repair on that and then did an update on Microsoft's web site, but no help. I also have WinXP on virtual server with a working version of Paint.NET v3.05 installed. I can't remember, but I assume I installed it on the VPC b/c I had problems installing it on my regular hard drive. I can't install v3.3.1 on the VPC either, same error message.
