Oma: I did click -- many times -- on "Window" and then on "Colors" in the drop-down window and I still could not reset the color palette window location. It appears, from what Rick has posted, that my version needs some updating, which will clear up the problem. Thanks to both of you, Oma and Rick, for your help.

I've inadvertently moved (with click and drag) the color palette window completely off the screen and cannot retrieve it. I closed down Paint.net in the hopes that this would restore the palette window to the main screen when I opened the program again, but its still not appearing. Can anyone help this ignorant newbie out? Thanks.
