I try to make a selection of a part of the picture keeping the aspect ration since I want to print a 10x15 cm picture e.g. Any ideas?

Thanks, I´ve tried with and without the checkbox but I can´t figure out how the "maintain aspect ratio" works. Can you help me with the steps? This is what I do: 1) I open an excisting picture 2) I make a selection then either 3a) I "crop to selection" - but then I seem to loose the aspect ratio or 3b) I copy selection, open new picture and paste the selection - but then I seem to loose the ratio again What do I do wrong?

Hi, I want to make a selection of a photo and optimize it to a given size e.g. 10x15 cm. Is there an easy way to do this in paint.net or do I have to calculate the pixel-relation every time?
