make a new layer, press F4, set the layer blend mode to overlay, press OK. Then select the color of your choice as the primary color and hit backspace.
Hope this helps.

Indeed. The color replace plugin.
-
If you'll look again, everything in the pictures has the effect applied. My best bet would be the gradient mapping plugin, as previously suggested.

I certainly do. You did an excellent job of making the glowy line wrap around his arm.

Good thing it wasn't a snake
a color snake?
-
I also like it!

olav.k.m: Wow! I really like the texture on the demon's face! It look excellent!
expired:  That. Is a glass. 100% PDN?
-
I like it! nice, simple, and yet interesting to look at.

Hmm ... I've finished all of my icons except for the web browser one. I'm stuck for ideas on that one, and if I don't make it, I'll have my votes cut in half. :x
mayhap a browser window?

Wow! looks much glassier!

...
Why am I suddenly thirsty?
Great effect, Ash! It could either be running water or glass (they look very similar to me)

Thanks for you comment on my gallery
i really like your art, especially the intro of your gallery is nice
Thanks!
Love the tree and the cliffs, great drawer!Thank you!
The grass detail in your 'tree' picture is amazing (It's all good but that detail just makes it even better)Thanks!
A shiny new piece, just as promised! This one I'm entering in the Large Art of the Week competition.'tis a dark and evil forest, with faeries who love to lead travelers astray...
Originally it was actually going to be happy and warm, but it sort of...mutated. :? I'm happy with it anyway.
My only complaints with how it turned out are that the lights coming from within the tree don't really define a 'tree' shape all that well, more an amorphous blob, and I think the top of the mushroom turned out too light.
And now, back to the warm picture of the sunset tree!
I like it like that, it has to be dark! I disagree with you though about the amorphous blob, even if that does not remind a tree, my first impression when seeing it first time was that of
layered caves digged in the mountains where ancient populations lived (f.i. indians, etruscans)
and as far as fairies ,the little people and elfs are also called, if I am not wrong, the ancient people that's the perfect location for them! And I like the lightning of the mushroom too, and I love the little luminescent fairy (and I am more and more jealous of your drawing skills )
Just if you think is too dark and want to add some color I would suggest to add some light in the center of the image like the lights you see after thunder (you know ..purple and violet, something like that...) but I think is perfect like it is, Bravo!
Ciao ciao
Thank You!!
a bonus: an extra large version of the piece I entered in the competition-I realized photobucket had re sized it too late to change my submission.
And also: the grass on the far side of the river is (finally) done. The hard part was getting the styles to match; my style of drawing varies slightly from day to day. :? Nevertheless, I am not sure why it took me as long as it did*, because as soon as I actually focused on it I was able to get more than half of it done in less than two hours.
* Not really. I actually have a fairly good idea of why it took me so long to complete. It involves various animated superhero shows. And internet television. <.< >.>
Next up: the sky!

Good job on the photo manipulation!

Wow! I really like your first, second, sixth, seventh and the last posted ones! I hope to see more work from you soon!

Sci-Fi would cover a great deal of things. It would be a great topic for variety.
I also wouldn't be able to sit it out. There's an idea that's been floating in my head for weeks, and I won't pass up an opportunity to illustrate it, no matter how long it takes. : p
well then, Sci-Fi, I choose you!
-
It's animated? *looks in wikipedia article* apparently safari doesn't support it, either. *looks at sig in firefox* Neat!
and in other good news-firefox is no longer doing that wierd buggy thing.
-
I'm having trouble deciding on a topic for the next LAOTW, so I'm opening it to discussion.
-
Nice shape-and shiny to boot!
-
I love the highlights you gave it.
-
Actually, you are!
Try pretending like it's a solid, opaque plastic, and shade with highlights that way, and then just figure out where the light that comes from the highlights would be cast on the inside of the slipper.
-
make a new layer over your picture, fill with white, select a rectangle smaller than the canvas size, gaussian blur it. Set the layer's opacity to 64.
select the original layer, and run curves.
Set it to RGB mode
For blue, put a dot on the far left 1.5 squares up, and on the far right, another dot .5 squares down
for red and green. make it so they reach maximum value just before they reach the far right.
Hope this helps.

I really like the way you used lightrays to attract additional attention to the color in your "Nani" wallpaper, and the simplicity of your black and white abstract wall paper.
-
I really like the water- It looks cool and refreshing!
I also like what you have so far of the meteor strike, especially the shockwave.

I love what people have done with the theme!
all of the different pieces...
@expiration: I loled at the text in your entry. However, I have been greatly distracted recently, and may not make the deadline. This should be fun!
