digital scrappbooking, learning PDN ;), spending time with my hubby and 3 kiddlets
  1. It's a work in progress .. I can't seem to get it shiny/realistic enough.. I've also tried using dents because it kinda' starts out shiny and then doing a layer of crystallize, as an overlay, but that kinda dulls the shine.. I think psp users have a glitter fill.. and i've been searching for a tutorial that could possibly be converted to PDN, but I haven't found one I like yet.. I'll keep working on it.. thanks for all your help
  2. Hi Oma! That looks great Can you tell me what setting you used? Thank you!
  3. Hi, thanks for the reply I have tried that.. maybe i'm using the wrong settings? I can't figure out how to get it to look like the metallic glitter in the example.. i'll keep working on it.. thanks
  4. Hello Does anybody know how to create glitter tiles? Or know what effects/distorts I should use? I've seen and done the glittery text and pinup tutorials. (I'm sorry if i overlooked something, I did search first... I saw mention of a glitter plugin but wasn't able to locate it) I'm not looking for something animated and just adding noise doesn't seem to get the look I'm going for. I want something shinier/more metallic... Here's and example of what I'd like to be able to do http://candystreats.blogspot.com/2008/0 ... tiles.html If you download them you'll get an idea of how shiny I'd like them... I'd like to know how to create the silver metallic tile. Thanks in advance for the help BLE
  5. I did, I did! I can't wait to get started on it...
  6. Oma, this is great! I will be trying this out today! Thank you!!
  7. Here ya' go... I hope to eventually learn how to make that star too http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c204/ ... Page-1.jpg thanks for all your help
  8. Oma, thank you for your reply! I will play around with this... That is closer to what I want to do.. I apologize to everyone for the second question in a thread...(a friend of mine just reprimanded me for doing that, I didn't realize that was "forum faux pas") I guss I'll start a new thread about the xenofax plug-in... I am a PDN beginner and was really hoping for a step by step tutorial on the example I gave at the beginning of this thread - multiple curls and tears on the same edge... if that's possible.. I'd greatly appreciate it thanks..
  9. this will work! Thank you so much! I have another question... someone just explained to me that in photoshop there is a plugin called Xenofex - that creates nice ragged edges that you can then either leave as they are and add a drop shadow to or add noise and then create the appearance of the paper being torn back through the layer. Is there a plugin like this for PDN?
  10. Hello I'd like to learn how to make curled back torn edges like this I did a search and saw the tutorial on the torn edges, but I'd like to know how to go a step further and have the edge curled/turned back... Would someone be able to explain or give a tutorial on how this is done? TIA! BLE
