  1. why not have a drop down box for each character and just one slider? That way you can choose which letter to adjust the kerning on and adjust the slider for the chosen letter? btw, i have no idea whether or not the above is possible, i'm just throwing out an idea here.
  2. had an idea for some realistic looking fur. the result is below. turned out ok, i guess. oh and its all made in PDN.
  3. yeah, #1 does look great. It looks like dents was used, and a lot of random dots to make the stars.
  4. kinda blended the two images together. on a new canvas 500x300 stretch the first image horizontally across to form the background. on a new layer place the second picture and align it near the middle. then use a transparency gradient (gradient tool, then to the right of the conical option change the colour wheel to transparency, use linear mode) to slightly fade out the edges of the picture 2. then set your primary colour to a transparency of about 1-4 and erase the edges to blend them a bit more. duplicate layer, then use unfocus blur to blur the image to smoothen out any odd looking part-alpha areas. then change the transparency of the primary colour to 255 and just erase the woman from the blurred layer. should be blended well now. hope i helped.
  5. if you want to slant it at a specific angle, then on a new layer, draw a line with the line tool at that angle (the angle of the line should be shown at the bottom left of the screen), the use the plugin Sarkut mentioned to align the text with the angle of the line.
  6. the reason for this is because both images are fully opaque, and have no transparency. if you wanted both side by side, then you'd have to double your canvas size to 1600x600 (provided both images are 800x600), then move one of the images on one side, and the other image to the other side, if that made sense..
  7. beautiful scene, Sozo. Textures aren't your best, but decent nonetheless. Maybe bend the bright light gradient ever so slightly to give an impression of curvature, cos it looks like a straight up linear reflected gradient atm, unless it was that.. KIU
  8. the last result looks like some real fabric. Really cool tut to create this. Thanks for sharing.
  9. oops, i guess i shouldve looked at the rules in the entries thread, not this one. Totally my bad.
  10. can we use c4d? or does it have to be 100% pdn.
  11. Thanks for the 3 new plugins pyro. Trying them out now, and they're pretty awesome!
  12. It was made in C4D, hence the reason i wrote:
  13. Polar inversion should not be regarded as something bad. Just check out Oma's work. Its insanely good and she uses polar inversion like a pro. Anyway, Weylin: 2 Axle: 3 The sort of HDRI effect in Axle's sig is quite cool, so he gets my vote. Weylin's was too 'hectic' for my liking. #winner Axle
  14. Wow. Just wow. Klaral, that is some amazing pixel art you've created. You have some serious talent for the art form.
  15. If by the black frame, you mean the black shadow, then just dont do the drop shadow step, and dont add the background. You should have clean gold text on a transparent background.
  16. Your psychic abilities do not deceive you. My current sig will be put forward to 'battle'.
  17. Add a white glowy bit in the middle of the blade part of the sabre to enhance the fact that its glowing. Just draw a white line on a new layer on top and blur it. Should work. Also, i suggest keeping each category to just one hide tag. So for the misc stuff section, put all the images in one hide tag - saves hassle for people viewing your work, and you dont have to add a new hide tag everytime you update.
  18. Thanks for the comments guys. I wouldn't say i'm one of the PDN greats, gotta a lot of work to do to get there. I'll get there someday.. maybe.
  19. ImAnOwl?, work on the monotone-ness. Add more variations in colour. Otherwise great stuff.
  20. C4D spam is pretty much spot on. Its a big rough for my liking. Nonetheless, it still looks pretty good. I reckon you might be able to do more if you got rid of her left hand. Give you more room to expand your creative-ness. It could work, but then again it might not. Great work mate.
  21. Love the latest with the orbs; the reflections look sweet. The space art is awesome too, great choice of colours and the composition is great too. Keep 'em coming man.
  22. ^ bit harsh on L3ron imo. L3ron: 2 Chrisco97: 2 Both are great, but Chrisco's was too sharp and 'rough' for my liking. L3ron gets my vote.
  23. You have a unique style of work. Its pretty awesome to look at. The Forbidden Jewel piece is quite something, my favourite so far. Keep the great art coming.
