I start-up Paint.Net V3.22 (and same with the new beta V3.3) on Windows XP SP2 using .Net Framework 2.0 and .Net Framework 3.0 (installed from Intuit Turbo Tax) straight away (without loading an image document). (BTW I am a software developer/architect by trade for over 20 years). Then I paste an image from screen shot (alt-Print Screen) (forcing a re-size of the canvas). Then I select a subset rectangle within image and Crop-To-Selection (Image drop down menu). Then I save it to either PNG or JPG format. Crash. Everytime this happens consistently on 2 different computers (one is a dual core AMD 64, the other is a regular single Pentium 2GHz). This (below) is what I get in the crash log:
