  1. Some one else told me how to get it back already. Case solved.
  2. I gather you mean uninstalled - ie you didn't delete the folder? No, I deleted the folder. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna get Paint.net back unless I reformat my computer or get a new one. And neither of those is going to happen soon. I guess I'm stuck with "The Gimp."
  3. Ok, I deleted all things Paint.net. I'm going to try to redownload it.
  4. Ok, I messed up, the only version of Paint in the Control Panel is 3.30, not 3.0. So there is no history, (I guess) of the older vesion.
  5. Okay, in exact words it says: Another version of the product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product. Use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel. Which you know I've al ready tried, and it does not work.
  6. I can't find Paint.net 3.0. Just 3.30. I need a link to 3.0 or something.
  7. Yes, it was only saved on my desktop, then deleted. Should I put it back on and unistall it?
  8. Of Paint.net. The 3.0 version. Sorry for not being specific.
  9. Ok, I tried downloading it. Restarting the computer like it said, and I still can't unistall paint.net 3.0, which was just put in a zipped file, never actually installed because I can't get rid of it. I can download 3.3 if I get rid of 3.0, which I have said before.
  10. Ok, I tried downloading paint.net 3.3, but I had to unistall 3.0, which I can't do because it wouldn't download in the first place. If someone could tell me how to uninstall it, I think I can get Paint.net back.
  11. Ok, I got .net framework 2.0 on my desktop, then the download file for Paint.NET. I tried to download it and I got the fatal error message again!
  12. Guess I'll try it again. I'll delete all 2.0 framework and redownload it.
  13. Ok. I tried to download 2.0, and it said a newer version that has been installed would be compatable. Then I got a fatal error message. The problem is.... I un-installed everything I could that said .net framework on it.
  14. Oh bloody potato. I gotta uninstall like 20 .net frameworks so I can intall 2.0... I'll tell you how it goes.
  15. Ok, I downloaded .net framework 3.5, then I tried paint.net, and it didn't work!
  16. You mean .NET 3.5? No. .NET 2.0 is all that's required. (http://www.getpaint.net/download.html) 3.5 will be required for v4.0. Sabrown. PLEASE know what you're talking about before you comment! Wait, WHAT?
  17. I just checked the details and it said the following: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Documents and Settings\Ben.D78RFR41\Desktop\Staging' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at PaintDotNet.Setup.InstallingPage.DoInstallation() ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.832 (QFE.050727-8300) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- SetupFrontEnd Assembly Version: 3.22.2933.24449 Win32 Version: 3.22.2933.24449 CodeBase: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Tina/LOCALS~1/Temp/PdnSetup/SetupFrontEnd.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.832 (QFE.050727-8300) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.832 (QFE.050727-8300) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.832 (QFE.050727-8300) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- PaintDotNet.SystemLayer Assembly Version: 3.22.2933.24441 Win32 Version: 3.22.2933.24441 CodeBase: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Tina/LOCALS~1/Temp/PdnSetup/PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.DLL ---------------------------------------- PaintDotNet.Base Assembly Version: 3.22.2933.24440 Win32 Version: 3.22.2933.24440 CodeBase: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Tina/LOCALS~1/Temp/PdnSetup/PaintDotNet.Base.DLL ---------------------------------------- PaintDotNet.Resources Assembly Version: 3.22.2933.24441 Win32 Version: 3.22.2933.24441 CodeBase: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Tina/LOCALS~1/Temp/PdnSetup/PaintDotNet.Resources.DLL ---------------------------------------- PaintDotNet.Core Assembly Version: 3.22.2933.24442 Win32 Version: 3.22.2933.24442 CodeBase: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Tina/LOCALS~1/Temp/PdnSetup/PaintDotNet.Core.DLL ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 18. I saved it to the desktop. Resterted the computer, and now it's not there. I tried to download Paint.net again, and a window came up with the same message.
  19. Here's what it said: Unhandled exception has occurred in a componet in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
  20. Ok, i'll try re-downloading it and tell you what it says.
  21. Ok... :? It was removed last night. I tried to re-install it today, and it didn't work...
  22. You mean like jpeg and gif? It was saved as a jpeg.
  23. OK. But could someone actually help me here?
  24. Bumping in this circumstance isn't allowed. Bumping? OK, now I have no idea what you're talking about!
