Have a brand new Vista Home Premium laptop, 32-bit system, 3GB ram. I get this message when trying to install: "An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.OpenMP.version-"9.0.30729.1",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="x86".type="win32". Thanks, I tried this method and it worked nicely as well as the other one recommended. When I selected "resize", it did the first step of what appears to be a two-step resizing process (based on the estimated file size provided by the program). I then selected "save as", and at 100% quality, it reduced it another ~75%.

Can Paint.Net help with this? I don't see a resampling or compression feature (I do see cropping, which helps some). If not paint.net, any recs for other free programs? Have a new digital camera that produces ~2-3 mb pics. Thanks, Chris
