I want to make 2 images transparent and place them on top of each other.......

I dont want to make the image animated......i will do that with another program. I need to know how to make 2 still images transparent then place one on top of another...

I have had a look through the tutorials and cannot find what i'm looking for. (I apologise if it is there) Can some one point me in the right direction, or explain how i do this please. How do you make 2 images transparent then place one on top of the other? (to be used as a still frame for an animated avatar) Thanks Mia

Hi, I have just downloaded paint.net. Can someone please tell me how i fade one image into another, i would like to create frames for an animated gif. (then use the frames in microsoft gif animator) I am new to this so please forgive me if this is not possible. Thank you Mia
