Hey I'm new to Paint.NET but I would just like to say amazing tutorial. I really liked the effect. I messed around with it a bit and I got this... Sorry if it's big... What I did is just took a picture of a forest around the same size as the fire part. Added glow affect to the forest. Then set it the fire to overlay and the opacity of the forest to 128 or so.
