  1. And it also creates snotty, bratty, rich kids. How is it fair that some people get everything paid for them in life where others have to work their butts off to get anywhere? The whole "every man for himself" concept is stupid. And how is being on welfare because you lost your job because your employer went bankrupt due to the free-market living a life of dignity and purpose?
  2. Explain how it is better than the system in western countries. 1. Everyone had a job. 2. Less crime. 3. There wasn't huge class gaps. There was no poor nor rich. Everyone was in the middle.
  3. But surely people have a right to what they produce? I never said the system was perfect but it did a lot better for a while than the current system in western countries.
  4. Funny. You make a point, then contradict yourself. I see no difference between a modern composer such as Ozzy and a classical composer of Opera such as Mozart... as you so nicely conceeded. Imagine what Mozart could have done with an electric guitar. Well for starters from a personal stand point Ozzy's a freak. The clasical composers could bring people to the brink of tears with nothing more than a piano.
  5. Ya, and it worked quite well for a while. The only reason the Soviet Union collapsed is because some took over. When Vladimir Lenin was in charge the USSR was one of the best countries in the world. Lennin? He was hardly a peach of a guy. Lenin was an amazing leader. Learn a little more history before you start trash talking historical figures.
  6. Unfortunetally those were the best I could find. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find good quality free fonts these days. 8/10 A little plain but much better than your last one.
  7. I'm not mad. I'm actually enjoying this thoroughly. Boltbait is the first person I've encounterred in a long time to give intelligent arguments in a debate.

So long as they don't claim it as their own they can do whatever they like with it. Credit where credit is due but if they want to take a picture I made and tinker with it and make something else by all means go for it.
  9. Ah the greed is deeply rooted in this one... lol. That's the problem with your way of thinking. It's all about you. Everyone for themselves. What ever happened to for the good of society?
  10. As do most Americans. Besides, I thought it was about the love of music and acting and not about the money? If you're making the music because you love people hearing your music, who cares if you lose some money here and there from piraters? Overall money lost from people who download is a drop in the bucket compared to what they make. And like it was stated before, the artists, the people who actually are the owners of the intellectual property, only make an incrediably small fraction on CD sales. People who download music hear a wider array of music and are more inclined to go see more concerts, which is how the bands make the majority of their money. In actuality though studies have shown that people who download music actually end up spending more on audio CD's than people who don't. What downloading lets you do is weed through the bloody potato to find the stuff you like. Open up your mind and allow other possibilities. Just because 1%-3% of all listeners are downloading music doesn't make it evil. In fact it's hardly noticable.
  11. Beginning of week drain would be my guess. Most people hate Mondays/Tuesdays and as a result are less productive and/or creative.
  12. Downloading movies/music is really only illegal in the USA. I know for a fact that in Canada that if you download for personal use (essentialy as long as you're not making money off of it) the police won't even bother looking into it or charging you with anything. Although technically "illegal" according to official records, nobody cares. Besides, the Federal Court of Canada made a ruling saying that peer-to-peer file transferring is legal. In summary, if you live in Canada feel free to download as much as you like because in all intents and purposes it is legal. For further reading: File Sharing in Canada that's true, thats part of it that makes in seem misleading. people from other countries can post illegal music etc if they want, and americans can see it on the web, yet its illegal to download. Yup. Although from what I've noticed the US is the only country with a bug up its butt in this issue (not counting didcatorship countries).
  13. When I said composer I meant classical composer. I figured my list would have given it away. Modern "music artists" hardly qualify as composers. Oh, well, for classical composers, the answer is easy... Mozart. But, I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss Ozzy as a non-composer. The man's song writing skills are second to none. Irrelevant. Although I do enjoy his music he's not a composer. Composers write music, not lyrics. The only exception being opera. Also, writing score music for electric guitars doesn't count

  15. 6/10 Looks kind of like a plaid shirt on acid O.o Nice font though.

  17. Who's your favourite composer? For me it's a toss up between Beethoven and Mozart. They both created such beautiful music.
  18. I have a lot of games circa 1998, lol.
  19. My dad knew the guy and assured me that he was good for it. He set up the deal. After a year and a half of it sitting I just wanted to get rid of the thing. Now I've learned not to trust what my dad tells me about people.
  20. Pfft. The only thing in Vista that people with proper know-how have lost access to is control over the defragger. Other than that, pretty much everything is either more open or exactly the same as XP. (Again, this assumes the person making the tweaks is either a power user or very good at following other people's directions) I also don't like the compatability issues. Most of the games I currently own won't work on Vista.
