  3. Thanks pyro. It hasn't happened again yet...and my computer is running fine again, so I'll just ignore it. I talked to my dad (who loves PdN, actually he was the one that told me to get it) and he said it's fine, it just crashed (like my Windows Vista always used to do )
  4. Just rebooted my pc, and its running a lot faster, but I still don't get it...
  5. I don't understand...I just noticed a file (notepad file) named "pdncrash"...I opened it, and this is what came up: This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to paint.net@hotmail.com so we can diagnose and fix the problem. Application version: Paint.NET v3.22 (Final Release build 3.22.2933.24445) Time of crash: 2/2/2008 2:33:11 AM Application uptime: 00:00:00.4550000 OS Version: 6.0.6000.0 Workstation x86 .NET Framework version: 2.0.50727.312 x86 Processor: 2x "AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-55" @ ~1795MHz (DEP, SSE, SSE2, SSE3) Physical memory: 893 MB Tablet PC: no Updates: true, 1/28/2008 Locale: pdnr.c: en-US, hklm: en-US, hkcu: n/a, cc: en-US, cuic: en-US Loaded assemblies: mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 @ C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\mscorlib.dll PaintDotNet, Version=3.22.2933.24445, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe System.Windows.Forms, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 @ C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Windows.Forms\2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089\System.Windows.Forms.dll System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 @ C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System\2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089\System.dll System.Drawing, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a @ C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Drawing\2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a\System.Drawing.dll PaintDotNet.Core, Version=3.22.2933.24442, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.Core.dll PaintDotNet.Base, Version=3.22.2933.24440, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.Base.dll PaintDotNet.SystemLayer, Version=3.22.2933.24441, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.dll PaintDotNet.Resources, Version=3.22.2933.24441, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.Resources.dll PaintDotNet.Data, Version=3.22.2933.24442, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.Data.dll PaintDotNet.Effects, Version=3.22.2933.24443, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null @ C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.Effects.dll Exception details: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Error creating window handle. at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.CreateHandle(CreateParams cp) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateHandle() at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.CreateHandle() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlCollection.Add(Control value) at System.Windows.Forms.WindowsFormsUtils.ReadOnlyControlCollection.AddInternal(Control value) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripControlHost.OnParentChanged(ToolStrip oldParent, ToolStrip newParent) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.set_ParentInternal(ToolStrip value) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripSplitStackLayout.LayoutHorizontal() at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripSplitStackLayout.LayoutCore(IArrangedElement container, LayoutEventArgs layoutEventArgs) at System.Windows.Forms.Layout.LayoutEngine.Layout(Object container, LayoutEventArgs layoutEventArgs) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnLayout(LayoutEventArgs levent) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.OnLayout(LayoutEventArgs levent) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnLayout(LayoutEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.PerformLayout(LayoutEventArgs args) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.System.Windows.Forms.Layout.IArrangedElement.PerformLayout(IArrangedElement affectedElement, String affectedProperty) at System.Windows.Forms.Layout.LayoutTransaction.DoLayout(IArrangedElement elementToLayout, IArrangedElement elementCausingLayout, String property) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnResize(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnSizeChanged(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.UpdateBounds(Int32 x, Int32 y, Int32 width, Int32 height, Int32 clientWidth, Int32 clientHeight) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.UpdateBounds() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmWindowPosChanged(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.ToolStripEx.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ever since that came up, my computer has been acting funny (buttons not showing up, windows not opening)...I am going to restart my computer, and run a cleaner program, then come back and check this post. Thanks to anyone who can help. Oh, and I can't remember my PdN crashing........
  6. Wow, I like this a lot. I will post my result maybe soon..
  7. Very nice! I shall try it very soon.
  8. @ Myrddin -> Thanks! I will check out both and see which one I prefer! I am starting to love Paint.NET more and more everyday!!
  9. I gotchya. But it sucks because when I use the wand to get rid of the black background so I can add effects to it, there's still little black bits sticking out of the image, if you know what I'm talking about. I used the Feather effect, and it helped a little bit, but there still is sharp (and jaggedy) edges on my render.
  10. Oh, so I copy and paste the render onto my Paint.NET layer?
  11. I know that, but can you download them say off of http://www.planetrenders.com and then put them into your "Effects" folder in Program Files...I'll check it out right now anyways. Thanks.
  12. Alright, I was wondering if there is a way to download renders, because I noticed that when I went to Effects -> Renders that there were a few ones there already. Is it possible to download renders? I know how to install plug-ins, but I want to be able to download renders. Oh, and I also noticed that when I downloaded the Ed-Harvey effect package or whatever, there was like 5 new renders in Effects -> Renders. Thanks in advance.
