Thanks amico, have to give Robie his due.

Roberto Baggio, il Divino, il pondre maglia ~ the great one.

I had two brains once, one got lost and the other left to look for him.
Valentine's Day = cards, candy, jewelry, little fluffy dolly blech yeck, feigning insincere sentiments ...
-
I would like to issue a noob protest:
To wit, SOTW #14's theme bites. Valenti ... what? Blech, screw that ... unless it is for the St. Valentine's Day Massacre!!!
Consumerist propaganda holiday ... pffffffffffffffffffffffttttt.

I don't know if it's allowed here, but can I express hatred of your person for extreme graphic program capability at the same time as using words like (**deleted string of forbidden expletives**) "amazing" "awesome" "spectacular" and "where's the tutorial for that work?!"
That's on a level I can only admire and envy.
-
It's not that we don't like it, it's just that we've seen a lot of those planety things. The tutorial is very popular with new users.
Ack, I was caught with my noob showing ...

Mastriani's current skill set = < 0
Mastriani's desired skill set = > ∞ or nearest equivalent to Madjik or pyrochild
You'd prefer that I aspire to the nadir or bare mediocrity?
Not my style, no apologies.
Something I tooled out, but DarkShock seemed to find it uninteresting or lacking. I thought it had potential ... :?:

Very nice salu ... very curious abstract ... enjoyable for it's simplicity.
-
Hopefully, the mods willl see fit to move it to its proper location.
Thank you for the information Madjik, I will download/replace the plugin and see if it corrects the problem.
-
My apologies, I have no idea where to place this.
I was using the light rays plugin, alpha and color gradient, and then went to move the slider to reduce the number of rays and this error occurred:
File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\LightRays.dllEffect Name: LightRays.LightRays
Full error message: PaintDotNet.WorkerThreadException: Worker thread threw an exception ---> System.OutOfMemoryException: Out of memory.
at System.Drawing.Drawing2D.LinearGradientBrush..ctor(PointF point1, PointF point2, Color color1, Color color2)
at LightRays.LightRays.Render(EffectConfigToken parameters, RenderArgs dstArgs, RenderArgs srcArgs, Rectangle[] rois, Int32 startIndex, Int32 length)
at PaintDotNet.Effects.BackgroundEffectRenderer.ThreadFunction()
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---
at PaintDotNet.Effects.BackgroundEffectRenderer.Join()
at PaintDotNet.Effects.BackgroundEffectRenderer.Abort()
at PaintDotNet.Menus.EffectMenuBase.RunEffect(Type effectType)
Again, my apologies if this is not the proper place for this post.

Always interested in tutorials.

That image is quite stimulating and thought provoking. Well done. The color shifting over the texture is fantastic ... really top notch ... in my opinion anyways.
-
Thank you Mr. Atwell and bark fellow ... very informative, and I felt no teeth whatsoever. Well done.
-
I'm sorry, the short bus stopped here and let me off ...
What exactly is the purpose of a "user bar" ... not familiar with that term.
-
I haven't been here in any capacity or duration, (officially anyways), to issue complaint or grievance ... and it's doubtful I would post anything ...
But I certainly do enjoy and find high entertainment in viewing what others can do. Seems to be a pragmatic change, considering the application, membership and medium.
It says "good business modelling" to me.

Mastriani thats awesome pyro has got a point, welcome to the non conformist sheep club lol, nice work man I like it, striking.
Thank you very much.
Don't expect it too often though amici, a momentary flash of creativity from an otherwise uncreative mind.
-
Very nice! It's great seeing something with creativity instead of an exact clone of the tutorial.
Coming from someone of your caliber, that is indeed a compliment ... thank you.

I found that rather odd as well, the empty directories I mean.
I've visited there for a year+ because of Adaware and Spybot S&D.
-
Wouldn't page caching eliminate that problem?

Is it in bad taste/unethical/impolite to make them aware of paint.net? Their express reason for operation is "In support of Free and Open Source Developers" ...
Absolutely not! Please do
The more awareness of Paint.NET, the better for all of us.
More users = more donations = more motivation/free time for Rick to work on 4.0
I'm sure though that the Developers/purveyors of this quality product would like certain protocols adhered to with respect to promotion ... gratuitous spamming, trolling or other such inappropriate methodologies might taint visibility prospects.
Is there a proper channel that is normally used in this instance?
-
I visit SecurityWonks.net fairly often, and surprisingly the have 0 entries in their Graphics & Apps catalog.
Is it in bad taste/unethical/impolite to make them aware of paint.net? Their express reason for operation is "In support of Free and Open Source Developers" ...
I will take any advice with all due professionalism and respect for protocols.

I find polar inversion rather entertaining ... then again, I'm a complete noob with zero ability.
I think I'll just shut up now.
-
I wasn't being critical of his?/her? technique or making any allegations of impropriety ... I'm simply amazed at the individual's skill with the application ... notice the inclusion of *envy* in the prior post.
After viewing the dA gallery for him?/her?, I don't doubt the ability.
-
I would really like to comment on Madjik's car, but I fear that the mods would quickly feel compelled to delete my post for rampant rule breaking of the (**string of forbidden expletives**), repeatedly, unceasingly.
The detail and shading are .... hard to believe, especially after viewing the rules. You have my sincerest envy.

Errrr, well, I tried ... my brain saw one thing, but this is how it turned out ... **not paint.net's fault**
