  1. In PDN, when you open brushes plugin, on the top of the window you have option Do Mask See? Well, do you have any picture example of work with and without mask? :?:
  2. Oh I'll try it out and let you know for sure! Thank youuu! But one question: what does 'masking' mean? 'Do Mask' option?
  3. I played with it for few more hours, to be sure I tried many options and not coming here with some stupid question, aaaaand, I found it. But since I'm too proud to call myself dumb, I'll just say I was tired. And the problem was...when you go and click on Draw with custom brush and the window with brushes opens, no one said I should change size. Ok, you'll be my victim. Are you volunteering on tutoring me? This is the brush package I downloaded, converted with abrViewer How do I do this with some photo? What do you take us for? Hmmmm, toothy geeks who get offended if you type '.net' instead of '.NET'?
  4. Ok, I used Search and I couldn't find this kind of tutorial anywhere... I'm a n0ob obviously, and I really want to start playing more with Paint.NET. I just downloaded Custom brushes plugin and converted some photoshop brushes into .png. Is there any tutorial where it says how to use and all the stuff you can do with brushes? I googled it but all tutorials I got were for Photoshop. Aaaand, it wouldn't turn out good, it's not the same. [Please don't bite  ]
  5. Thanks so much for this!!!! I love picture tutorials, lol.
  6. Thanks so much for this!!!! I love picture tutorials, lol.
  7. Leif said I can use Photoshop brushes If I convert format into PNG. I asked is it enough to convert them the way I usually convert format (the comment above) or to use something like abrviewer. that's all.
  8. If you can converte them to PNG Brushes here have to be PNG file format. Thanks so much for the reply! Woohoo! I can useee theeem! Hm, I usually convert format by clicking 'Save as while' viewing the picture in Windows Pictureand Fax Viewer. Is that enough? Or I need to use some special program for it, like startreksuite suggested?
  9. Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm a n0ob: is this plugin for all brushes or only brushes I made myself in Paint.NET/people here made it specifically for Paint.NET and offered for download? I have some great brushes which were made for Photoshop, is it possible to use them? Thanks!
  10. Yes!!!!!!!! OMG OMG Looooove FF!! My Hero, Pretender and No Way Back! Damien Rice?
  11. Haha, actually, I'm hoping Paint.NET will get loads of donation and they will speed up new versions with innovations. When I put some money on my bank account I'm definitely going to donate some money. Thanks Dalton for your input! I had PS 6 for a while, and damn, I think it took 120 MB on my poor laptop! And it took a lot to load, as you said. I am not familiar with Macromedia Fireworks, I'll google it.
  12. Thanks for your input! I corrected my awful mistake! I humbly apologize Ok, but how do you use them? And of course I wouldn't buy Photoshop, I'm a student for heaven's sake, lol! A friend offered to give me the CD but it looks very complicated, so I put my hopes in Paint.NET but I'm hoping for brushes very soon.
  13. Hello everybody! I've been using Paint.NET since the beginning of 2007, and it served me good, for my needs (which were resizing photos and writing text on them, lol). But today I accidentally clicked on Help and saw option for tutorials and plugins so I came here to check them out. There in some topic I read about new Paint.NET so I went to check that one out. And whoa...how awesome Paint.NET is!? I love all innovations! I recently became interested in icon making, photo manipulation and web design, and I was thinking about getting Photoshop because of all it's functions, but if Paint.NET has everything I need... I found lots of resources with brushes, patterns and textures which I want to use, not mentioning lots of great tutorials, which are, of course, for Photoshop. What I'm trying to ask you, is, what PS and Paint.net have in common? Is it possible to use brushes, patterns, textures in Paint.NET? Is it possible to make them and use them in Paint.NET? I really like this program and this forum, too! Many tutorials and plugins, and I hope it gets even better! Sorry If I'm asking something that's already been asked and answered, if you could just link me to it... Cheers! ETA: corrected 'net' into caps, from respect to program and it's fans
