  1. Matt: The purple text is very hard to read, and not really creative. Try a different font, and maybe seek out a few cool text tutorials to make it a little more interesting to look at. Make sure the final font color is easy to read, but with the same color scheme as the signature. Also, I don't know if the little strips of a brownish, whitish, and blackish color are supposed to look sharp or shiny, or if that was just a mistake, but I would suggest making it smooth if it is supposed to be smooth, making it shinier if it's supposed to be shinier, or making it stand out more if it is supposed to be sharp. I don't know if this needs anything, or what...it just doesn't look right to me. I drew the entire tree in pencil, then colored it, softened edges, ink sketch, and so on.
  2. @Code_Ember: I like the setup of the first one, with the blockier shadow and how it isn't slanted like the second one, but I like the detail on the second one's letters. But nice job for first signatures, keep it up.
  3. I've finally decided to make a gallery. Captions will be above the art. A sig. "Tell Me Baby" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, using LFC4EVER's Rainbow Sig Tutorial. Something quick I did as a joke for a friend. A sig, not one of my favorites. Another quick joke for a friend. Played with the colors on a stock, text for a friend. One of my first avatars, I think. I don't even know. Back when I first started using Paint.NET. Sig. Av. Something I made for a science project. An avvy I don't remember making. The matching sig that I don't remember making. Something for school. Something for school. Something I did when I was bored. An avatar I was going to use, but decided against it. Stay tuned!
  4. I'm no professional. Trust me. But everyone feels like that when they're new. I still sometimes do! You'll get used to it if you stick around the forums, though.
  5. So I tried to work a bit on the picture level - still with just the basic PDN program, no plug-ins as of yet. One of these days I will DL some of the important ones, I swear. I am confident enough now that I can handle it. Now anyway, here are some variations: Making progress. Keep playing around with PDN, and see what you can do!
  6. Kat- That is very sweet, rescuing dogs. The dogs in the avatar you showed us and your current avatar are adorable, they deserve a good home, as does every dog. I applaud your work. The sig I like better is the second one, but is that a stock image? If it is, try playing with it a little more--show off your artistic talents. Welcome to PDN!
  7. That's great, barkbark! Nice use of tile reflection. I'm also lovin' your new av too. New sig. I had an avatar to match, but the more I looked at it, the more it did not look like my sig, and the more I hated it, so I trashed it. But, I think I like my sig. What about you guys?
  8. I like it, maybe some leaves or something framing the gramophone, just to spruce it up. @aeonix: I would extend the light rays further, so they look they go past the edge of the sig. Unless you left it like that purposely.
  9. I can't take credit for that...I saw it online, and just pencil drew it. :? And those were the right spellings.
  10. New sig for me...I don't know how I feel about it yet. :?
  11. I was trying to make a pool water image this morning, as well. Let me know if you come up with anything. My attempt was somewhat pathetic.
  12. Sort of. The strands look kind of thick, try putting it on a face and see what happens? If it doesn't look right, it might look cool on an animal of some sort.
  13. I think I get what topHATslash is saying. Maybe layer some other brushes over the brush you have now, but have them a little more transparent as more layers build up, just so the bottom one is still prominent.
  14. The name at the top is slightly hard to read, but other than that, nice blend of colors.
  15. Oh. Ok. Glad that's cleared up. But thanks anyway, I like it better too. But I wasn't aiming for a masterpiece because it is just for a school project, and people outside of Paint.NET think that a gradient looks super-hard to do, so a simple thing for me looks complex and amazing to them. Good enough for me. Thanks again
  16. Alright I'm lost... the original image... () and the changed...which is making it's first appearance on Paint.NET now... () Please excuse my slowness, I'm just very lost in what you are saying.
  17. @SpiritScout: I didn't post a changed image...unless you are just talking about what you think it looks like now. 1) Perhaps make the rays around the white in the center more prominent. 2) I agree, if it was horizontal it would look distorted. Vertical all the way.
  18. @Pachuco: I agree with -Expiration-, the effect is nice, but maybe a border or some kind of shiny-ness for the flair that you are looking for. And thanks, I did wind up changing the font, though, and I added a drop shadow. And my father does need new glasses
  19. not really, i was planning on fixing that, or making one letter half red&white and half blue, to show that there is actually a flag underneath it.
  20. @Fire_Ants: I kind of like it without any text. This is for a school project. Do you think it is readable? If not, what should I do to it? My father thinks that it's hard to read because the first few letters and the last few letters are all the same, so they blend together and look like a blob.
  21. Go go for Imagine! Have some great memories with that song...it's beautiful... All of your creations are well put together, well balanced, nice use of colors. Love the D'oh!Pod...ahhh...the Simpsons...Keep up the good work!
  22. I like it, r3venge. Maybe add something subtle in the background? It might not look good like that, it might look cluttered, but just my two cents
  23. You have got some pretty neat stuff there. I love the Las Vegas by night picture. Keep it up!
  24. @milkybarkid: I love your 100th post avatar and sig. Really nice colors, and it's not too much.
  25. Yes. Yes, we are nice, aren't we? Mwahahaha..
