  1. Trying to find a tutorial to remove a background I have checked the search but just can't find it. It works great I am removing a background...and if I remember it involves using an Ed Harvey plug in to separate the alpha or something along those lines. Also used the threshold plug in. Thanks in advance
  2. Looks like it is moving along great. If I didn't know better I would think it is an Imperial banner.
  3. CommanderSozo That absolutely rocks! Who knew... That really opens up a whole new world. Many Thanks... --- Sarkut I am looking for those tutorials now Thanks for the reply.
  4. Hi all... Trying to clean up some photos Wondering of a good way to blend. For example to remove an unwanted area and replace it with similar surroundings. The clone stamp leaves edges (unless I am using it improperly). I am thinking like spray paint. ....anyway...a picture is worth a thousand or more words Thanks for any help.
  5. IMO Red symbolizes power in that part of the globe. And like Crimson said above Dafont has a nice selection of "oriental"-looking fonts. I use them all the time You might use IME (windows) かふぉんしぇま Whatever you do don't make it like a bad tatoo. Meaning use something in another language that makes absolutely no sense in any language. Good ruck
  6. yellowman Thanks the layer worked. The .png did not show up on the pic at all. I am going to keep monkeying around with it. EDIT: oops  that was a .pdn... I did the .png and ran it through FastStone and it worked perfectly. Thanks again for the help
  7. Don't know how else to explain it. I made a logo to put on photographs. It looks great in Paint dot net. It is flattened and a .jpg but when I put it on the photo it is wacky. Using FastStone photo resizer suggestions appreciated. Here is the logo And after I put it on the pic
  8. Oma, Thanks and it was that shape except for the hollow part, I still think I could of hollowed them out. Ash, Thanks for the link..tons of cool fonts there. Leonte, I feel like a nut bc I looked there and never found it You nailed it ! Thanks . .
  9. Anybody know what font this is... Note the hollow letters. I have searched DaFont and 1001freefonts.com, urbanfonts.com, free-fonts.com, keyword "stencil" The closest I have found is this Which in a pinch I could clean up the hollows and make it work.
  10. Benji2: That is a great idea and it worked. Storm.Shadow: I like the checkerboard thing more. But... I downloaded the MadJik All plugins at viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21592 Could not get it to work. And yes I unzipped it into the PDN effects folder. And yes I had PDN off and started it only after the zip was installed .. So I kept looking and found this viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29595&p=258006&hilit=Grid%2FCheckerboard+Plugin#p258006 Couldn't figure it out either. I kept on and found this viewtopic.php?t=2302 Went back to MadJik's page and downloaded the checkerboard maker individually This got me working. for real Thanks to both of you for the help. BTW this is a snapshot of an emblem from the trunk of a car. (notice the fragments where I tried to clean background trunk up).
  11. Hi All, I want to have grid lines overlay my project for alignment purposes, so that when I rotate I may get it very straight Horizontally or Vertically. I have tried this to no avail. Thanks again.
  12. How do you get the bevel to run from corner to corner? My attempts have caused a perimeter bevel. Thanks
  13. Leonte, I've got three words for you. W O W ! That is great! I will attempt this and post back after. Thanks
  14. No, I am more after a beaming effect. Thanks though
  15. Ash, Just looking at your sig blew me away. I felt like Scrat the squirrel chasing an acorn and stumbled into an acorn mine. "ahhhhhhh" " (Angelic trumpets sounding) Martel jaw dropping staring at sig in disbelief.
  16. Deleted all color surrounding the text so that the text is surrounded by transparency. got Thinking I am overlooking something very simple. I will keep monkeying with it. This whole thing started bc I couldn't figure out this thread. viewtopic.php?f=37&t=28519 Maybe I need a Plug In.
  17. Ego Eram Reputo Not so that I could tell, perhaps I was not using it right...or the background is too strong. -- pophiri I made three layers and a black background. Next applied Stylize; emboss then little gausian blur, then a little less and then less. so far....no shine
  18. I like that... I was looking for more bright but that is in the right direction yes. Maybe a different set of colors will work for me. May have to use the codelab plug in. Still trying to figure that out too.
  19. Hi all... I am trying to get letters to stand out with a shine effect. Like to glow or radiate.
  20. I cant get past the shine glow part Am I missing a plug in?

  23. david.atwell, Thank you for the information... I was totally out on the wrong limb. Talk about wacked...here is what I got with the clone stamp. Reminds me of the pattern stamp in another program. Searching the http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/index.html ... I don't see textures
