  1. Missed the sig updates because of my one week homework binge XD Once again, I reiterate, you are a brilliant sig maker. Also, I think it's great that you make videos displaying ur sig work. Totally awesome. Keep 'em coming
  2. Nice iceberg. It could've worked as a standalone mountain in a snowy landscape as well

  7. You certainly have some fascination with spiders, don't you? I like the background, the door, the composition of the planets and the way you made that tile. The only thing that gets me is that the planets don't have adequate shading relative to the light source. Other than that, that is a rather nice piece.
  8. I'd suggest posting that here flip  Yellowman, excellent wood texture there Oma, your horse is simply amazing
  9. @yellowman--yes, perhaps I will add a drop shadow there after I finish up my WIPs. Thanks @HELEN--thanks, I have yet to make stuf as polished as the shinies you make @Goonfella--I will definitely get this WIP finished. Unlike all those other WIPs I've set (like that sink I'll get to it sometime), I think I'll get this one done pretty soon @Sharp--thanks for that. I always thought there was something funny about the ways I had the stars. I've already rewritten the starry sky Going to take a week off to finish up all my summer homework. By the end I should have my WIP completed.Stay tuned, I'll be back soon
  10. I saw that on PSTuts. I knew it was PDN-doable Perhaps lower the opacity of the highlight. But that's probably personal preference, forget I mentioned it. The edges of the sphere are also a bit jagged. A little anti-aliasing there. Maybe you should have used alpha masks? Other than that, nice PS tut conversion
  11. Thanks welshblue and Lance McKnight _____________ I'm back in business ..for now anyways First, a rerelease of TechOrb WP, but centered this time And second, I delve once again into the space genre. Instead of planets, however, I'm trying to make a galaxy. Which I have never done before. And as you can see, I've only got the bare basics. I'm sure it'll get better as it goes along. For now it sorta looks like the birth of a galaxy...or an intergalactic maelstrom It'll be done soon. For starters, I'm already redoing the starfield  Check out the artists comments for more info. Techniques, comments and criticism welcome for the galaxy
  12. ..I wonder how you get through life jk How do you plan on creating it? If it;s smudging, I could offer some tips. Personally, I haven't used PdN's smudge. The undo is always too slow for me or something. I used GIMP for smudge painting, but the principle should be essentially the same. And I find the lips to be the hardest part. Just something you should look out for
  13. Nice stuff. I like the passion flower too, but the transparent fish is cool too I like how you put in the fishes' skeletons as well. The only thing I want to point out is the background. It sorta looks like your fishies are stuck on shore or something. Perhaps add a slightly blue tint to indicate that its underwater? I don't know, maybe it's just me who's confused about the background. It's happened to me before Nice job on both 8)
  14. Yeah, same here. I'm not a "huge fan" either. A few of my friends are though, and I think it sorta rubbed off on me I'm more into lax comedic animes. Right now I really like Detective Conan, Hayate no Gotoku, Bakemonogatari and Haruhi (In that order. After Endless Eight I think you can understand why Haruhi's last) Doesn't mean I don't like action. or Mecha. Watched Asura Cryin and Chaos;Head in the past. Tried to pick up Naruto and Evangelion at one point but gave up because I just couldn't marathon that many episodes
  15. I think I forgot to mention this last time, but are you into anime? I recognize #2 and 3 on that list (Mikuru from Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi ...Lelouch is ringing bells but can't put my finger on which anime that is) Oh yeah, liking the new sig/av combo too
  16. You know, I can't believe I've neglected commenting in here. I try to comment and constructively criticize in everyone's thread at least once, and it boggles me how I managed to miss commenting in here. Shows how busy I am  You know, I never delved much into the sig genre, but I have to say that I really like your sigs. The styles are vibrant and are different on each sig. I can't pick out any in particular since they're all pretty much great . I promise to take a look here more often
  17. You're stuff's getting better I really like the out of the Ice and that realistic cup, but I can't imagine how a cup can be partially full like that right-side up underwater Seeds of life is pretty cool too, nice use of PI However, it made me think of jelly fish invading space when I first saw it
  18. _I never really got an answer to my questions, so I'm going to be looking for that some time in the future. BTW, just to reiterate I wasn't accusing you. I was only trying to ask how you did it, but if you are unable to come up with an explanation (yeah their hard to make, sometimes I can't make up good ones myself  ) I won't try to push it. I'm not the sort of guy who likes to push issues too far. I like that quote. Anyways, I'll be on the lookout for your work. Some of the other stuff (as I've said before) actually look quite good, and I'd like to see how that WIP works out for you. Oh yeah, I'm a Heroes fan too Got the Symbol on a necklace and everything EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to say I apologize for not using a PM. I probably should have but I kinda got used to posting in threads more than writing PMs. But I don't think it was a crime to ask how something was done, was it?
  19. @ Welshblue--really liking that tree 8) +1 for that stone wall tut, it's a nice looking texture
  20. Glossy Faucet? or glass faucet? I'm pretty sure if a glass faucet were built it would break very easily ..sorta reminds me of a WIP I started but never finished. I should get back to it sometime... Excellent job 8)
  21. No, don't worry I'm not trying to instigate a fight  . I'm just a little curious, that's all. And I'm not accusing him of using photographs, I'm just saying it looks a bit suspicious and would like to know how it was made in more detail. I've been working with Paint.NET for a while and after carefully examining it (for quite a while. Its not like I post somewhat outlandish statements all the time without slowly looking things through a few times) I can't quite understand the method used without any stock. And I don't need evidence, I'm only asking some questions. How was it done? How long did it take? In clearer detail, that is.
  22. I like to take things with a grain of salt, but dont take any offense when I say that I have to agree with Crimson. Now I've had my little dealings with making things of different art genres with Paint.NET, but saying that rose was 100% Paint.NET (which means without using stock in its shallowest terms)...doesn't blow my mind away. It makes me a little suspicious. The leaves, I can agree with to a degree (even though they sorta look like real leaves with an oil painting effect applied, but I'll let that go), but not the rose. The seeming feathered edges is kinda tipping me off. I'm not trying to say I doubt you outright, but if you could enlighten me as to how you made it, I'll concede. I can see you made an outline beforehand. How did you color it in? Paintbrush? Did you use a picture of a rose underneath the layer, create a new layer and color from there? And how long did it take to produce? ____________ Putting that aside, I like that grass (reminds me of a tut I saw a while back) and that vexelly rainbow. Hope to see more stuff soon
  23. The only minor quip I have is that the four solar panels on the top and bottom (or whatever you call those flat panels you have sticking out from the top and bottom) should have shadows as well, preferably on the left side. Other than that, splendid job
  24. Ooh Mandelbrot Fractal! I never knew you could do that with it. And to think I loved that particular plugin way back and have been neglecting it for a long while. Thanks for the info, it'll come in useful someday
  25. I'm not quite sure as to what you mean.Is there some sort of an example you can give?
