Okay, I got the lasso thing down. I know how to take part of a pic and paste it to another picture, or background. I still don't know how to make use the feather, although I now have it in my effects. How does it work, exactly?

Disclaimer: I'm a total newb to this and all graphics programs, so my questions might be stupid. :oops: I want to know how to use the lasso and magic wand to select part of one photo, and place it into another photograph. I can't quite figure out how either of them work. I have several photographs, that I would like to make into a poster. I want to use one as my main background, and have the others zoomed out, and placed around the main photo, with their backgrounds made transparent. Any help is greatly appreciated.
