  1. Now that's lovely as usual and it has a depth too, like a soft fog all over it. I am curious about your method, it is surely better to have more files opened cause one single file with lots of layers usually slow the program down, but don't you get confused? And after you've picked up all the images you like and reimport them in the new file you proceed with the color blending or else? Thanks, Ciao

    Ash

Yeah, my first thought was matches too! Like the wood, the flames and the way thet softly fade away, just one thing though, if I may dare...why the white background? Ciao,
  3. And now when Oma sees one of my posts runs to take Though my little remark was more pointed on the aesthetic side rather than the realistic aspect (artists can modify reality as much as they like I think) cause the eyes of the bird in the first image you posted were more popping out, standing out or shiny if you know what I mean, They look much better now and I am sorry if I gave some more work to do! b.t.w. isn't there an other way to make that correction besides pixel painting? (I do not know, I am thinking may be to two layers, one with the original bird, the other with the final version, cutting out the eyes on an other layer with selection tool lowering transparency of final image and then adjusting the jaggyes with clone stamp? Or am I just mumbling nonsense?) but, before you run to take the I bid you the good night (well it is night here) Ciao
  4. Just an other masterpiece from Oma! I keep repeating you should start to work for book illustrations! One thing only: The eyes i.m.o. looked more "realistic" without the white of the eye, as per your first image (cause I think the white lowers the depth/roundness of the orbits, and I also think cause birds do not have the white of the eye, anyway that is just my opinion) That tortoise color you gave to the beak also is beautiful just like the whole image!
  5. , Like the ball, looks a bit like a smiley And what's more important, Bush is stale and overcooked. B.T.W. I think he learned that sophisticated gesture by his close friend, our smart premier Silvio "The Psychodwarf" Ciao
  6. Just made this to celebrate new Bolt Bait's plug-in "bevel selection", I think is cool  !
  7. Thanks, I was downloading flags one by one from a website for an image I am working on, You saved me 50% of the job!
  8. @Janettsue: Thanks and you two castle makers gave me an idea I am working on (hint: they usually haunt castles wrapped in old sheets rattling chains, howling and moaning) My daily paint.net adddiction fruit (I am not satisfied with the background though, I'd like it to be more soft or as someone said more "flowing" , any hints? Thanks) and version no. 2, is it any better? :? A new image to celebrate new fantastic plug-ins and new Paint.net version:
  9. OOh - I like that shape - what ind of distort did you use? Thanks, it is just a plain rotate/zoom! Ciao,
  10. Welcome back!!! It looks great , I am sure you'll make astonishingly stone textures out of that!
  11. Thanks a lot Ash, but still does not work for me, tried your method (white background first color black, second color opacity=0) tried to draw from different angles, tried on the same layer and then tried on multiple layers with blending set to multiply, tried everything, still result is I can draw no more than 3 gradients then everything turns black! I cannot reach the results of your picture! What am I doing wrong ? Thanks,
  12. I had the same problem, I was trying to reproduce this PS tut http://www.photoshoptalent.com/photosho ... ress-folds. html but the multi/layer/multi gradients does not work for me, I can only add no more than 3 or 4 gradients then the canvas turns all black!
  13. What I love most, besides the camel that is excellent, are the textures you gave to the walls and house, the palms, and the shadows that really look like shadows! The color is great, it gives the house and walls that look of "eaten by the sun" which at those latitudes houses do really have! Awesome!
  14. Thanks a lot! : See you on the Dark Side of the Moon, then! Thanks a lot (that needs a dance...) and I'd like to dance also cause think I am starting to understand alpha displacement (yeah, I am dumb..) b.t.w. I know those weird shapes plus weird shape3d settings suck , (not much 3d, bad choice of colors) but I keep experimenting, may be it will lead me somewhere or nowhere , who knows? Here are some more:
  15. Some shapes obtained playing with shape 3d settings: and a star made of something that looks like peppers (a pepper star?)
  16. You know... Shape3d + Distorts = Many more shapes Yes, and also if you start with weird shapes, and play with shape 3d settings (camera angle, sizes, rotation, etc., you can get more than basic shapes, just started playing with that and posting results in the abstract section) @Oma: That already looks great! Are you going to give him a name?
  17. @cjmcguinness: Welcome back to both of you (You and your high quality images  ) @worldnewser: Lovely little castle! It seems it is "Castle time" in this forum (Janettsue made a lovely one, too!) Ciao
  18. Congratulations Max Power! (I had 3 votes and none of them is mine ) Ciao!
  19. You'd probably used the curves adjustement set to RGB, it is quite difficult to recreate same effect, but with a lot of patience you might try!
  20. You might want to get a look here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2911&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a In the plug-in section for each plug-in there is also a short explanation on how it works, Ciao
  21. In that case just low down the opacity of the black background until you are able to see the grid, you'll be able to reset full opacity once finished. Ciao
  22. Nobody thinks you are stupid, so there is no reason to have such an attitude, asking is not a shame, we are all here to learn and help each other where we can, but asking with a please sometimes is better! If you just downloaded newest (3.35) version of paint.net, first thing to do is to look http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/index.html and to this tutorial viewtopic.php?f=15&t=21605&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a or you might watch this video then just get acquaintanced with it, start playing with it, select the tools , select the colors from the color palette, add new layers, fill one with a color, add an other layer, play with brush tool, play with the effects and see what happens, play with layers blending modes, go to the tutorial section and try to follow an easy one, b.t.w. plug-ins are effects that you can add and download from here viewforum.php?f=16&st=0&sk=t&sd=d&start=0 Enjoy yourself and welcome to the forum, Ciao!
  23. Always make corrections/adjustements on a new layer, so you will not have that ugly effect of letters jaggy outlines showing off. Get a look here http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/index.html This thread is for asking advices and suggestions not to ask others to do your work for you, but just because you are new to the forum (welcome b.t.w.) I gave a try to it Ciao,
