thank you . ya iono why but for watever reason coloring has always been the hardest part for me....lol. i didnt focus on depth to much on this particular image because its going to be a web button, so the actual image is about 6 times smaller than that.

do you mean the actual shape of the cover? or a certain design or text you would want on the cover?

thanks wither , im guessing you where talking about the actual drawing. its really a render/drawing. but any way i got used to doing stuffed like that on ms paint. really just use the curve tool, i got a picture off the internet to look at basically copy and pasted it next to where i was going to draw the picture. looked at the lines and recreated/modified them to the side. heres a guitar i did too.

So i drew/rendered this drum set. it still has a lot of imperfections that ill work on. not that hard to fix. but any way. i cant really decide what shading i like to use on the drums and symbols. i did a few different ones of the drawing but dono which one to use or if i should do something else. here it is. please let me know what you think! thanks!

hmmmm okay, thank you. would this be an effect i would put on the image before putting on the website?

so i created this image of a guitar for my band website to use as a button instead of the traditional button. i was gona do a drum set and some other things as buttons as well. but any ways. i thought it would be kinda cool if when i put my cursor over it, it would sorta shake. im not really sure how to do that. iono if thats something im do on PDN or on the web host its self. maybe thatd just be getting in over my headl. but if any one has some input thatd be awsome. THanks!

Im looking for a cool looking font or text tut to create the title of the web page im working on for my band. i dont really have any specific thing im looking for. just something that looks cool, and kinda rock and roll ish. i went through the search and searched 'text tut' but i couldnt make a decision. any one have any input? or maybe a cool text they created or use?

So i redid my steps.. i feel like im getting close to the end . This time i did it without shape 3D i just free handed them. i think they're are looking better ill post what i had before as well if you didnt see it. any advice? First attempt (used MS paint for the whole thing) Second attempt (PDN) And what i have now. (PDN still in black and white) oops this is it

i like those they look much smoother. do you happen to know the settings you used? i just drew this up i didnt use shape 3D i thought id see what i could do free hand. this was my first attempt. i like the shape of the stairs better than the other pic. its just a black and white for the time being. im thinking of adding a few more stair cases kind of entwined around those to going up and down. like harry potter haha. i sware im not a die hard harry potter fan i havent read to books lol

so heres my idea for my stair case. i kinda got the idea from the harry potter movie lol. leme know what you think. not perfect...im having a tough time with shape 3D...haha. and the texture doesnt look to much like stone.

so ive been trying to come up with a good stone pattern for about a week. ive come up with about 100 but they all looked to cheesey to me. i really like the potential of this one. what do you guys think? any changes that should be made? My steps where new layer create 5 lines 1 pixel each. i did black three grays and white. progressing from dark to light. Then i jittered the entire thing i dont remember the exact settings. Then dent once again messing with the settings. Then relief. Then created a new layer and use a stone tut i found. start with a 4 pixel brush and make black squiggles on a white canvas. Motion blur default. Unfocus default. Median. 10, 100. Then emboss. Then moved the layer up above the texture and used a glow pattern. Love to hear feed back! not on how to do it thats just if any one wants to mess with it but how it looks! Thanks!

i found one ash but i didnt really like it, im trying to modify it now. does any one know maybe any good effects to modify stone? perhaps some i dont have installed? im trying dents buldge clouds and bevel for the edges.

Well as some of you know ive been working on an album cover and stairs are a big part of it. The only reason you may no if because this is about the 100th thread ive posted concerning this...haha. but any way. im started to feel like the ideas and capability for my design are coming together both in my head and on PDN. Ill attach an image of my stairs. I came up with a pattern trying to make them look more like stone, but ive been having a really hard time. I was on MS paint screwing around when i came up with this pattern i pasted it into PDN and ive been trying to mess with it using dents and bevel edge plug ins. It doesnt look terrible but still doesnt quite look like stone. i was wondering if any one could make any suggestions on what to do to further render it. Thanks! yellow is the pattern.

Ive had two threads locked because they said they were should be in the pictorium. Im not trying to be a jerk but it used to say something like for showing off finished works. I just looked at it now and thats not there any more. but if i havent a question about a specific thing on a drawing does it go here or in the pictorium? im just trying to clarify so i can stop creating more work for the mods..

hmmmm....darn... i no with photoshop you can turn an image into a brush. but i dont even think that would work for what im doing now. i guess ill just go abouts doing it the way im doing it now ash. Thanks! i just thought it be a cool effect. its really simple but ill definitely use it again.
