  2. Blur-Focal Point- Focus Area 51- Blur factor 9- quality 3
  3. I no, i just meant it as a reminder to every one. Not to Oma. .
  4. Good job oma , i just would like to remind people to type 'work in progress' while they are working on the image, this way multiple people dont post at the same time. Thanks Kevin
  5. Rules Written by: Dr. D Current Game: Image below. (scroll to bottom of rules) Hi everybody! I thought this game might be fun to play in PDN! So here is how you play: The basic rundown of the game is this: I will post a very simple start picture. Then somebody else will copy and paste the pic into a PDN file and do 1 thing to it. Then, post the next part of the picture up and let somebody else do somethign to it. The point is to make a cool looking picture with everybodies help! Please do not ruin it for the rest of us by messing the picture up by scribbling all over it or ruining it. 1 Thing meaning, draw one line. Do one effect. Change the adjustments on it once. I hope you get what I mean! Making a new layer does not count as one thing. On one "turn" you may make a new layer, change it's blending mode, and do your one effect/line/gradient or whatever you choose. Here is how to post your picture! Before you do anything, you need to post saying these words: "Picture in Progress." Sound simple enough? When your picture is done, then you can edit your post and stick your picture in there. We do this because if lots of people (or even 2 people) wanted to do this, the process takes a while to do. So when 2 people go and do their "1 thing" to the picture, they don't know that somebody else is also doing "1 thing" to the same picture, therefore causing problems in the end. So if you see a post above yours that says "Picture in Progress," please don't do anything untill they are done. Then you will have a fresh picture to work with. Any questions? (No, seriously, please post all questions.) Rules: 1. Only post once in a row. 2. You may only change one thing in the picture. 3. You may write no text in the picture. 4. You may add no other pictures such as renders etc. 5. No scribbling all over and messing the whole picture up etc. 7. You may make layers, but when you host it, it must be flattened again. 8. Keep the picture the same size. 9. You must say exactly what you did to the picture, just so all the rest of us know! 10. You may change color, with the exception of one color only. This means if you have the color tint plugin, or whatever, you must change the color once, to only one new color. So I want to see how this works. Maybe it will be a total failure, or maybe it will be great fun. Eventually, (after our old picture is done) we will start a new picture and see how that one goes. The bold and underlined picture is the game in progress. You can also check the top post to see. So here is the Game 1 Starting picture: Edit: oops  forgot to post what I did. Render-Varicose- quality 200-width 11.04- alpha 232- randomization seed 1695634- quality 10
  6. i agree that the old thread would be easier and would the same concept. Is Dr. D still a member? do i need his/her permission or ricks? or one of the mods?
  7. It is looking very good. There's nothing wrong with using tuts as a beginner , from time to time is till use tuts. edit: Here's a project im working on. I'm no rendering master so i need some help . He's kinda the concept I was going for, but my version looks terrible lol, i could have probably done better if i had an idea of what to do . Basically a haunted house with a ghost in front of it. Maybe some lighting or something in the sky. I used this link for the house. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj66/ihclub_hockey/househaunted.jpg And i simply used withers air brush method for the ghost. Any ideas of how to do this? and make it look 'better'? ill continue to work on it, but i could use some pointers from the pros  Thanks. I advise making the house MUCH brighter, its wayyy to dark. And the ghost is way to blurred to even recognize. Brighten up the image. Thanks for the advice, more like this? i still want that dark and gloomy effect, i really like the way the ghost is looking. and its amazing how simple it was to make

  10. looking good guys, im to tired to give any specific compliments sorry. nap time, ill comment later
  11. I havent had much inspiration today. But ive have been missing my super nintendo . So i thought i would draw a quick sketch of it Nothing special just a quicky lol
  12. Thanks , not the hardest thing to draw but its a lot of fun
  13. looking good guys , i think i might create some scenes from my favorite game of all times , super mario brothers on the super nintendo
  14. yeah, ive actually never seen that game before, it would be similar to this, but this is almost the opposite at the same time. You would be guessing how the image was created, for some of our super geniuses on this site they might just know , but i was hoping people would try to recreate the image, to learn about plugins and learn the capabilities of plug ins.
  15. Ive been really into these kinda abstract random effect drawings lately. . I thought these looked pretty cool.
  16. Thanks for the support david and for getting us back on task. First: How would it work? I was thinking first of all, just to simply things, I would post the first image. Then other members would post guess on what the image was made up of. The game would probably be effects only, just because it makes it guessable.(Please let me know if that doesn't make sense.) People would guess until some one guessed correctly on all the effects used in the image. Let me create a quick example, hopefully more clearer than the original post. Example Here's my image. I created it using 2 effects. Have fun guessing! Person A: Clouds, and Dents? PersonB: Wrong Person C:Random Lines and Clouds? Person B: correct! You win! Now you get to draw an image! What rules would we have? Great question, rules would be very important in this game. I'm thinking about this game as more of a teaching tool then a contest of who's a better artist. Rules are something I always hesitate to create on my own, because I feel like everyone should have equal input in creating rules. My ideas were: -Effects only! No adjustments! No tool Bar! -You can only use up to 5 effects on a drawing! (This makes guessing a little easier.) * I was thinking maybe making everyone rate their drawings (easy, medium, hard scale). Something like this. Easy- Use of 1-3 effects in this drawing. Medium- Use of 4 effects in drawing. Hard- Use of 5 effects in drawing. -People may guess as many times as they want, but only one time in a row. -The first person to guess the effects right gets the create the next image. Who would post the original images? *answered above. How would the winner be decided? *also answered above.
  17. you could find a template then paste it into PDN on the bottom layer and work on top of it. I'm a little confused by what your asking, if you're asking if PDN can 'create' a web page, the answer is no. But most of the work down on pages that you see can be done on PDN, fonts, images, menu bars.
  18. Looking pretty good, my only suggestion would be to maybe blend the edges of the middle water drop (or wat ever that is) into the background, it just doesnt look quite right to me.
  19. Im glad to see people posting in this thread again, i thought i was a great idea. Maybe you could make a list of things you would like to teach your kids to draw? Like for instance: I want to teach them to make a ball with shape 3D. Or i want to teach them to draw a person with PDN. I could help to create tuts then, There are a lot of sig tuts, but iono if thats what your looking to teach your students
  20. i knew that too  sorry ash But it seems like this topic turned into whether ash was a man or a woman lol. Mods if you feel this isnt a good idea feel free to close. if not keep it open . Thanks Kevin
  21. i searched and didnt see any thing, but i probably searched the wrong thing. it seems like a good idea thought id throw it around and see what people thought. Ash recently did something similar with me, i was trying to create something, and instead of just telling me exactly how to do it she sent me the PDN file and then allowed me to ask questions. I learned a lot that way, thats the reason i thought id throw this around
  22. I was thinking about a game where some one would draw a simple image. Using effects only. For example an abstract like this: Edit: oops i just realized i used a gradient on that image lol, but i think you get the idea of the game. Then people take turns guessing how the image was made. For example: Person 1: Random Lines and Shape 3D? K.Digennaro: Wrong Person 2: Random Lines and Twist? K.Digennaro: Correct. Then the person who guessed right first would get to post the next image. Any one like this idea? I was thinking about some rules. Maybe Rules - May use up to 5 effects per image. Must specify how many effects were used. -Who ever guesses right draws the next image. -EFFECTS ONLY (this means effects only, you cant even use the paint bucket etc.)
