  1. Ctrl + Shift + C (copy merged) Ctrl + Alt + V (paste into new image) Ctrl + S (Save) The beauty of this technique is that the copy will be saved as a PNG by default. You never have to worry about flattening or unflattening
  2. Hit this key combination: Ctrl + 0 This will not be automated by PDN as it results in a loss of fidelity. I'm sure clever bods here can come up with a auto-save hotkey combo. Have you tried Ctrl + Shift + F followed by Ctrl + S (Enter)? If you opened a jpg this combination will save the edits to the same file.
  3. Hi @DecadeFever - welcome to the forum Have you unzipped it? What version of PDN are you using?
  4. Hello & welcome @TheEyeScarlet This plugin pack contains a number of different plugins. To find where each is located, follow the link below and check out the salmon colored location tags. These tags tell you where in the PDN menu system to find each plugin. https://forums.getpaint.net/PluginIndex?keywords=evan&author=All+Authors+&type=0&status=7&compat=3&order=title&menu=All+Menus+&release=0
  5. @poma if the window is getting in the way, hide it with the F8 key rather than dragging it away. F8 again will make it reappear.
  6. Once the window is reset, you won't need to use this key combination again (unless you lose it again). The key combination locks the window into the original location. It should move with the main app window unless you deliberately drag it away.
  7. Most likely scenario is that the windows were active but dragged offscreen (another monitor entirely, or so that just one edge was visible on the monitor)
  8. and... ....which leads me back to my original suggestion:
  9. Unless Rick has slipped it in recently....I've never seen/noticed hypotenuse.
  10. It is so onerous to type them in? Double-click on the value in the Red RGB input box Type in the three digit value Hit TAB Retype the three digits Hit TAB Retype the three digits Its a total of eleven key presses of four keys.
  11. - yep, all five stars! Many thanks to @toe_head2001 and @SodiumEnglish for this neat enhancement. You guys rock!
  12. @Pixey nailed it: Create selection. Press M to activate the Move tool Hold SHIFT key down. Right click and drag (mouse pointer can be anywhere)
  13. July Update Two new plugins this month. Go get them JNG Filetype Miya_Kopie Support for loading and saving JNG (JPEG Network Graphic) file format. Format uses JPEG encoding stored in a PNG container. Selective Transparency Skysworld Changes brightness to transparent based on the values from the GUI. CodeLab source code provided.
  14. As has been mentioned, there is no support for old versions. You're on your own until you update to the latest release. If you want to update we will be more than happy to help you with that and we will try to address any issues that arise in your workflow. <closed>
  15. 1. Have you correctly installed the DLL in the Filetypes folder? (by 'correctly' I mean unzipped it) 2. I wonder if your .abr is computed? 3. How about posting the file here so we can check it out?
  16. ^ Exactly. See my answer here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/122745-how-to-create-palette-grids-table/?do=findComment&comment=610412
  17. Try reducing the Tolerance when using the paint bucket tool. In your screenshot it's about 50%. Reduce it to 0 to force an exact color match.
  18. Usually the cause is a small selection somewhere. Try pressing Ctrl + D to deselect before using the text tool.
  19. Option B: Back in the old days we assumed monitors were likely to be 96ppi (pixels-per-inch) displays. You could try printing your image at that resolution. WARNING: it will likely look terrible because of the differences in the way printers & monitors show their stuff, but at least the size will be similar.
  20. Thank you Pixey and Disk4mat! Congrats to @lynxster4 and @Disk4mat on your excellent entries. Many thanks to everyone who took part. Unfortunately my icon doesn't scale terribly well, which might make it unusable on the forum at required resolution. The Mods are having a chat and we'll see what we can come up with.
  21. The trick is to use a large brush and keep the mouse button down until all the color is replaced. Doing it in several "steps" results in recoloring of the overlap. Quick tut: (fails to mention setting the sampling mode to Secondary - but then it was 2012 )
  22. 8 bits for each RGB channel = 24 bits. Am I missing something?
