  1. You need to manually create the folder structure - see the instructions on this page: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html#3 After that you just drop the unzipped DLL into the correct folder & restart paint.net.
  2. It is not difficult. It requires a once-only setup of the correct folder structure. See the instructions in the yellow panel on this page: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html#4
  3. Seven to 10 for Members is not a huge increase. Those who were limited by the previous ceiling are probably using theirs carefully anyway. We adjusted the limit around 2011. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/3908-the-thread/?do=findComment&comment=354883
  4. I had some fun playing with this! Thanks @Reptillian After many iterations - I ran into a problem resetting the dropdown controls. Would it be possible to add a Reset button which covers all the controls?
  5. Done. Newbs remain at 7 reactions/day. Most other groups have been increased to 10. If the fabric of spacetime rips you can blame me
  6. You can use Shift + Backspace to fill a selection with white (white is the default Secondary color). Ref: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/KeyboardMouseCommands.html#21
  7. We are trialling some new reactions to posts. The set has been increased with the addition of Thanks (left), Haha, You're a Smart Cookie! ( toe_head2001 ) and Hugs ( Ego Eram Reputo ). We felt these would give the forum some more positive vibes - so go spread the love!
  8. ^ understood. We had no option. If you value a tutorial that much you are free to rewrite it.
  9. Looks good 👍. I crashed the original one using Premade Gradient and being rough with both Scale & Roughness. I couldn't get your new version to crash using that method. Actually - I can't crash it no matter what I do There's got to be a Galaxy tutorial in here somewhere....
  10. ^ excellent! We are encouraging tut (and plugin) authors to think about adding license agreements. Doing so greatly simplifies questions about what can and can't be done with it.
  11. That is such good news! Thank you for the update Svea! 💝
  12. Why does the installer not work for you @ztv?
  13. And the winners are........drumroll..... 1st Place: @lynxster4 🏆 Joint 2nd Place: @Djisves & @Ego Eram Reputo There was a wonderful group of entries. @lynxster4's lava base was truly inspired. Thank you all for taking part. Some entries were removed at the request of the entrant. Those votes were discounted.

  15. Very nice I particularly like Fade Per Level. That combined with the Tilt/Rotation produces some interesting results. Many thanks @MJW
  16. Another thing you might try: Select the areas around the lines with the Magic Wand + the Shift key (= global selection). This will select the areas in between the lines. Use the Tolerance to make sure you have just the lines selected - then press delete.
  17. 1603 is known to be caused by an existing, broken installation. You used the right tool to attempt to remove it A couple of forum members have used Revo Uninstaller and Oibit Uninstaller for the same purpose. If the MS tool didn't do the job I'd try these.
  18. Can you post the crash log? You can find them easily using the link label at the bottom of the Settings > Diagnostics tab.
  19. Pixies did it. Well, one Pixey I suspect. 😁
  20. Try setting the selection anti-aliasing of the selection to off (pixelated) REF: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/Toolbar.html#20
  21. Dear Svea, thank you for sharing this with us. Leanne is very dear to a large number of us. Our hopes and prayers are with you both. When you get the opportunity please tell Leanne we are thinking of her and wishing her all the best. 💗
  22. If authors freely publish their code (GitHub or here) there is an expectation it might be picked up and reused. I think that's understood. I recently added a license note to the Tutorial Guidleines (#15 here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/12138-tutorial-forum-posting-guidelines-updated-20-jan-2014/). The license (or any other) could be applied to plugins and their source.
