  1. I changed you photos to links because they were too large. Users can click on the link if they wish to see the image. To see the code, click the icon I showed you http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/89868-improve-night-photos/#entry493465
  2. Attached zipped DLL as the download link was broken.
  3. Use the Edit button under the post above with the large image (post #18). You may need to toggle the icon in the top left corner of the editing tool bar in order to make the forum codes appear... Replace the img tag with url... [url=http://i.imgur.com/sNhfzlG.jpg] Then type in a keyword or words which will be used as the link (the bit users will click on) [url=http://i.imgur.com/sNhfzlG.jpg]This will be a clickable link! Finally close the open url tag [url=http://i.imgur.com/sNhfzlG.jpg]This will be a clickable link![/url]
  4. @Carrito: I've edited your posts to replace the images with links. This is because of Forum Rule #29. If you edit one of the posts you'll see how the code differs. You had.. [img=http://i67.tinypic.com/2mgtoi9.jpg] I've changed that to... [url=http://i67.tinypic.com/2mgtoi9.jpg]Link[/url] ....to make a clickable link.
  5. Is each layer a copy? Or do they differ from each other? Have you an example you could post a link to?
  6. Rule #2 is what BoltBait is referring to. This section is becoming flodded with small shape 'pack' threads. We would much prefer that you posted a single Shapes pack. You can release new Shapes by posting in the one thread - this is exactly the same way that the Gallery section works. When you add new Shapes you just need to update the zipped pack. BTW there is no animosity here. You're simply being asked to comply first because you're the most prolific Shape publisher. If you want help combining the separate thread into a single one please let me know via PM (Private Message). .
  7. Hey mako49 - Welcome to the forum If you want to add an empty layer use Layers > Add New Layer (or Ctrl + Shift + N) or the Add New Layer icon :AddNewLayer: at the foot of the Layers Window If you want to add an image in a new layer use Layers > Import from File. Note: there may be sizing issues if the imported image is larger than the canvas you have open (the canvas will automatically be resized to accomodate the larger imported image). Only one layer is 'active' at any one time. Editing operations can only be applied to the active layer. The currently active layer is highlighted blue in the Layers window. As you've found - it's easy to change which layers you're working on; just clikc on the layer name in the Layers Window. When you select a layer, the composite image on the canvas will not change. It represents the assembled image (composited from all the visible layers). If you want to view a single layer for editing purposes, uncheck the Visible checkbox for the other layers in the Layers window.
  8. 9a. Make a rectangular selection with the rectangle select tool on the Gradient_Radial layer. 9b. Press the M key twice - this tool moves the selection outline (and not the selected pixels). 9c. Hold the Shift key down then Right click and drag. The right mouse key performs rotation, the Shift key constrains the rotation angle to 15 degree increments. 9d. Invert the selection with Ctrl + I. 9e. Press the Delete key to erase everything not in the inverted selection. 9f. Run the AA's Assisstant plugin on the same layer.
  9. Which step are you having trouble with?
  10. How about this one: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28298-trs-paste-warp/
  11. Hey dioprem - welcome to the forum TIFFs actually support quite a number of different types of compression. Among them is LZW which is lossless. That the filesize is being reduced leads me to I suspect that paint.net is doing a better job of compression than your scanner.
  12. I agree with Red Ochre - it looks suspicious to me. Suspiciously like a virus. Scan your system and verify it's clean before you do anything else. If your system comes back clean, try renaming the file (right click > Rename). Choose a simple file name and extension (like the original Profile.png). Then you can try deleting it again.
  13. <moved to the General Discussion & Questions section>
  14. Make sure you have the image layer selected. It won't do anything if you run it on a blank layer. Then try playing with the settings. I had no trouble getting it to add plenty of sparkles and highlights.
  15. Neat that you've sorted it Art. Now got forth and create circular text
  16. It's created automatically when the circle-text plugin is loaded. That the sub-menu isn't there tells us that the plugin is not loaded. Please verify you have unzipped the *.dll file(s) and placed them in your paint.net/Effects/ folder and restarted paint.net?
  17. Another method: 1. Activate the magic wand tool 2. Hold down Shift and click anywhere on the text layer which isn't a character (i.e. select the background or surrounding area). 3. Invert the selection with Ctrl + I 4. Add a new layer 5. Draw your gradient. It should fill only the selected region on the new layer.
  18. Use a space in the command line between parameters - not a slash. paintnet.exe /createMSI DESKTOPSHORTCUT=0 JPGPNGBMPEDITOR=1
  19. Hey Art! Welcome to the forum. That plugin is located under Effects > Text Formations. Do you have that sub menu under Effects?
  20. Hey fanmixco - welcome to the forum You can use Layers > Import from File (http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/LayersMenu.html) to add a new image as a new layer. Or if you have copied the image in the clipboard use Ctrl + Shift + V (http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/EditMenu.html) to paste the clipboard image into a new layer.
  21. We are reviewing our systems to try and stem the tide. It's a balancing act. Of course we don't want to lock new users out of the forum - just make it difficult for spammers to get on.
