  1. Hi ABKStorm. Welcome First we need to get your font onto your system and the text onto your image. Download the font from Dafont. Install the font on your system. Open paint.net Create a new image the correct dimensions. Select the Text Tool (1) and choose 'Skater Girls Rock' from the drop down list (2). Set the font size (3) Type in your text (4) Save the image as a *.pdn (we'll be coming back to it - PDN format preserves the layer structure). Edit: Oh dear Photobucket - it looked fine yesterday Maybe you shouldn't have fiddled with it?
  2. AA's Assistant or Feather Object can both be used to soften the edge of a group of pixels provided the pixels are on a transparent layer. If you want to soften a selection, use Feather Selection
  3. Filetypes can access every layer. You could 'export' a corrected single layer.
  4. Hi rsrusher1957, welcome If your oval frame is on its own layer (it should be), you can add a border using one of the Outline Object plugins. Check out the Plugin Index link in my Sig to find the plugins.
  5. Fabulous! What a stunning outcome. Thank you Pixey.
  6. Hello bouncingbimbo - welcome to the forum Best to post this request in the Custom Brushes thread. Reason can be found here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/9349-plugin-problems-read-this/ Good luck.
  7. Barbieq25 takes the credit for that suggestion. It is a great way to apply a more subtle effect.
  8. Now Boys. Behave. You are, at least, off-topic. Please don't frighten off our original poster.
  9. He means installing paint.net onto a removable media when paint.net is not designed for that.
  10. The logical workflow is to enlarge the image (say 2x) then apply the Oil Painting effect, then reduce the image back to the original size. Actually, this is a very elegant solution! RE: Coarseness < 3: It will probably be to do with the algorithm Oil Painting uses. If Coarseness =1 or =2 gave meaningful results I'm sure the developer (Rick) would have included it as an option.
  11. No offense to the Oblique plugin, but have you tried the Rotate/Zoom (Ctrl + Shift + Z)? REF: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/RotateZoom.html The distortion around the edges is anti-aliasing. I'm sure the built in tool will handle AA better than the plugin. If you really want to stick with the Oblique plugin, try running AA's Assistant or @BoltBait's Feather (Object) plugin on the layer.
  12. Answer: Not as editable text. You'd need something like a scanner with text recognition function. Document=image? Paint.net is an image editing application, not a word processor.
  13. Like I said, a fascinating subject! HSV Eraser is definitely better than GCR but does not look as accurate as Make Transparent (arguably ) <someone should write this up...>
  14. Hey EchoReaper - welcome to the paint.net forum This is a fascinating topic. There are quite a few different plugins which will do the job - with subtle variances. Here's another option: Grim Color Reaper. It works a little differently that Color Cut as you can see by the output image below. Choose the red background as the Primary color (use the Color Picker ) then run the GCR plugin from Effects > Color. And finally, Make Transparent. Produces almost exactly the same results as GCR, if anything the result is slightly closer. To test the color extraction, I added the red background back in as a new layer then flattened. Set the modified layer blend mode to XOR to identify the differences from the original. The resultant images are not exactly the same as the original - but very close. Grim Color Reaper Make Transparent Here are the XOR differences on white to make them more obvious. Black indicates exactly the same color as the original in the XOR'd images above, so I've removed black to leave just the areas where the images are different.
  15. Found it: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/25221-how-to-make-the-colors-more-intense/
  16. Laplacian Pyramid filter: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/24563-laplacian-pyramid-filter-effect-plugin/page-2 Michaels's demo photo of the bridge gave me a "Wow!" moment. Older, but still a great filter: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8169-local-contrast-enhancement-v12-2008-12-24/ also http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/5578-shadow-highlight-recovery-v22-2008-12-24/ and http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/25286-make-your-photo-vibrant/ - simple tut using Levels, Local contrast and @BoltBait's Combined Photo Adjustments There was another tutorial I really liked - but can't think what it was called. I'll have a reference at home somewhere.
  17. I found a list of Direct2D error codes https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd370979(v=vs.85).aspx which mentions that this is a "presentation error". Have you tried updating your display driver (video card driver)? I'd start with that. Next - make sure you're up to date with your Windows updates. If neither of those provides a solution, try Method 3 (you're already done Method 2) here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2665946 Finally: Try Method 1. I really don't like recommending people muck about with their registry settings. Things can break easily. In Desperation: There are a number of possible display driver related causes - some of which are detailed here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/737-27116RadeonSeries-ATIKMDAGhasstoppedrespondingerrormessages.aspx Good luck & please let us know if any of these solutions works for you.
  18. Hi Snizzle - welcome to the forum You have both Hardware Accelerated Rendering and Animations turned on. The first thing to try is turning those two settings off. Find the Settings icon in the top right corner of the main window. Click on that to open the settings dialog. In the User Interface tab - uncheck the top two check boxes.
  19. I'm sure this plugin will do the job you want TR's Custom Shape Filler
  20. Have a look at the Plugin Browser plugin. It allows you to search by keywords. Brush tips: Custom Brushes
  21. Another note you might not wish to hear: laying out website with tables is a really poor design choice. Have a look at FlexBox instead https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2015/08/flexible-future-for-web-design-with-flexbox/
  22. Thought so... <div style=" height: 765px; width: 548px; background-image: url(rarities_ZarQI89rXnFxed5ji7zB_pict.jpg);" id="card_14716"></div><div class=t12g style="padding: 10px;">Test Real Size</div><table class="tab" cellpadding="4" width="290"><tr><td class="tabc1">Illus.</td><td colspan="2" class="tabc"></td></tr><tr><td class="tabc1">Rarity</td><td colspan="2" class="tabc"></td></tr><tr><td class="tabc1">Color</td><td colspan="2" class="tabc"></td></tr><tr><td class="tabc1">Source </td><td class="tabc"><font class="t8"><font class="t8" color=red>Source unknown</font></font></td><td class="tabc" nowrap><font class="t8" color=red>Date unknown</font></td></tr></table></td><td align="center" valign="top"><a name="card000"></a><b>000</b><br><br><br> <script langage="javascript"> T_carte_a_afficher["1_14715"] = "rarities_z4sQIUNSOzVDycj48imW_pict.jpg"; </script> <div style=" height: 2391px; width: 1713px; background-image: url(rarities_z4sQIUNSOzVDycj48imW_pict.jpg);" id="card_14715"></div><div class=t12g style="padding: 10px;">test</div><table class="tab" cellpadding="4" width="290"><tr><td class="tabc1">Illus.</td><td colspan="2" class="tabc"></td></tr><tr><td class="tabc1">Rarity</td><td colspan="2" class="tabc"></td></tr><tr><td class="tabc1">Color</td><td colspan="2" class="tabc"></td></tr><tr><td class="tabc1">Source </td><td class="tabc"><font class="t8"><font class="t8" color=red>Source unknown</font></font></td><td class="tabc" nowrap><font class="t8" color=red>Date unknown</font></td></tr></table></td><td align="center" valign="top"><a name="card001"></a><b>001</b><br> <script langage="javascript"> Your webpage is specifying the size of the image in code. 23. That's just fine tuning based on your monitor. Mine will probably look different. So will mobiles. If you want, Resize it down in small steps using the percentage value. Take it down 1% or 2% and recheck. Undo (restores the original - don't resize a resize!) then apply a bit more reduction until you get to the screen dimension you want. Bear in mind that your website might be squeezing or stretching the image to make it fit into a CSS styled box.
  24. Updated again in order to add these formats: GRBA GRBx Current list of formats: RGB RGBA RGBx ARGB xRGB BGR BGRA BGRx GRB GRBA GRBx
