  1. Minimize the bit-depth: I.E. Reduce the colour Palette Or make it "smaller" (Width/height)
  2. Had a little Foo Fighters thing The words are all lyrics, PLEASE REPLY + Comment Version 2 Of the above Pic (+Reverb) Version 1(No "Reverb") of the above Pic ---- Stock Images Used: http://www.sheilaomalley.com/archives/grohl2.bmp http://www.severed-dreams.net/qotsa/dave/images/dave9.jpg http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/sq/squier-cyclone-electric-guitar-black.jpg http://www.craftideas.info/assets/images/Fabric_Crafts_-_Sewing_Crafts_-_Fabric_Heart_Pin_Cushion.jpg
  3. I'd like something you can alter. How about this i made on MSPaint a while back for my girlfriend? She said she wanted a pink clio. Note this is all 100% hardwork Clio_Hearts Finished: ----- ----- Lol but obviously that looks a bit <No cursing.> now. Was really proud of it at the time. Looks better smaller. Upset now, it feels rubbish. EDIT: It's ok, i feel better now i've seen it again. If you look at the light detail it's not bad.
  4. @ Robert: I like the second one best, i think. But get rid of the blue blob on the left, it sort of looks out of place. And a little "lightning splash" or something where the blue hits the bottom wouldn't go amiss. Also perhaps make that the start point for the flame line?
  5. I'd start by gathering the images you want for the actual "Logo" part of the crest. Like a Falcon or whatever. Then it wouldn't be too much work to make a 3D looking outline to the crest, and you just pop it in. Presumably then you'd save as PNG and upload to the site.
  6. @ someone2016: From the thumbnails, I like the first one most. The second seems a bit... thin. @ AndrewD: I like it, but could do with a bit more brightness, or a blue-y hue to the grey?
  7. Does painstakingly lengthy Low-tolerance Magic wand not do it well?
  8. Ben, that's awesome, reminds me of some futuristic setting on a great FPS
  9. You could try a blur? Gaussian might give a decent effect i guess.
  10. @ Paint Boy: I like the one with blue better for an avatar, looks more pro. I'm going to repost this cos nobodys replied to me at all... (Sig contest entry) Stock Image (Google Comp Entry)
  11. I completely forgot to post my entry Earth Pic Property NASA Google Logo copyright Google.
  12. Stock Image Lets hope the border doesn't ruin my votes... Really hopeful for this.
  13. Annie Keys: The new one looks a LOT better IMO, the old one looks a bit.... Well. Aguba: The paper looks too "Clean", and you need a bit better shading on the edges, but the actual tear looks okay. UsedHonda: That's Awesome. The black areas make the picture IMO Janetsue: it looks a bit "rough" for my liking, but i can see it becoming something good CJ: Nice colours there Jake2K: Send that to the makers of the Resident Evil film! Hellfire: I like the background a lot. Perhaps other uses for it should be explored? Jerkfight: Looks like a planet from an old game Enjoyyourlife: Did you make ALL the effects on that pic? Hurdofchris: You made ALL that detail?! Wow! My post (For the sig contest) Version 1: Version 2: (Smaller, little border) Which is better? I kinda think if i made V1 smaller, I wouldn't need the border. The pic itself is actually a really simple one to make, but i really like it!
  14. Well if we're posting them in here already: Version 1: Version 2: (Smaller, little border) Which is better? I kinda think if i made V1 smaller, I wouldn't need the border. The pic itself is actually a really simple one to make, but i really like it! EDIT: Hosted them on imageshack instead of attaching.
  15. Oh, are we not starting yet? Just finished mine, I really like it Should i post it to the pictorium? Or wait and have the wonderfulness of the surprise for you all? Indie.
  16. I reckon I'll be taking a shot at the next one. Lucky for me I didn't enter this one, as i have NO clue who this Jerbert fellow is
  17. The way I've been doing this is as follows: 1) You have your original Image, "Rectangle" select the part you want. 2) Copy/Paste as New Layer into a new image 3) Using Magic Wand, on whatever layer the new layer is, click the background 4) Hit Delete. 5) Copy the remaining layer into whatever you want, and it is now transparent. Sorry if this isn't very clear or if i have gotten the "wrong end of the stick" as to what you're wanting, I've only just started using Paint.NET, but this works for me so give it a try. Indie.
  18. This hasn't gotten any interest in the Skinning thread, so I'd just like to post this here: Note: This is my first EVER project with anything better than MSPaint. Google Logo copyright Google, Earth picture property of NASA. Note, The Links, Logo, and Earth Picture are all that is not my own doing.
  19. Thankyou, I read this: And was unsure. Also, as regards the Rules and Regulations, Don't worry, already glanced at them, and they're the same as our forum, where I'm a Mod. So no spam from me, lol. I can't see why you don't have your own submissions sub-forum, rather than a 500 page sticky... EDIT: Is this any good? Or is it not what you're after? Note: This isn't really an entry unless it's any good. ----- Previous Version Removed ----- Earth Pic NASA All google images and links taken from Google Screenshot. All copyright Google EDIT2: This is the first time I've used anything better than MSPaint, or any program of it's kind. EDIT3: New Version, with basic Stars!
  20. Do i actually NEED to have functioning links and text space? Sorry if this has been asked already, we are kinda ~40 pages in, and i really don't want to go back through all that... And also, Hi!
