I'm trying to figure out how to make a header similar to Microsoft Dynamics:
I'm talking about the blue header with the 'semi- glowing' lines on it. I can't get it done in Paint .NET.
I tried:
- drawing the lines
- apply a blur effect (gaussian looks best I think)
- apply the glow effect
On Youtube they show something similar to create a Vista Wallpaper. They use Photoshop and custom brushes.
Since Photoshop is unavailable I'd like to create something like this in Paint.NET.
So maybe somebody over here can kick (or point) me in the right direction?

I use this great plugin in combination with IcoFX. (freeware)
I use Paint.NET to open existing icons and use Paint.NET to edit portions of it. After that I export it to png and use IcoFX to build the icon for me.

Known issue. I have a bug filed already.
At your service.
Keep up the good work.

When Paint.NET downloads the update, the button's text of the dialog is changing all the time ('Cancel' -> 'Close' -> 'Cancel' -> etc)
This is new in alpha 2, as far as I know.

Try to search a little bit better: viewforum.php?f=5
There are 3 forums dedicated to development.
