I agree. Not everyone comes from a graphics interface background. Those who have used tools like PDN before know what to ask. The tutorials are there, but they are typically posted by others who have graphics backgrounds - they skip steps and/or neglect to specify details. Many of the images in the "tuts" are hosted on sites like photobucket. Any image can be posted on sites like these, and as such, our corporate network blocks us from viewing them. Other work places could do this, too. Also, it does little good to search, because the search tool doesn't seem to be working very well. I'd like to see an actual Help file (with examples would be fabulous) included in a future version.

Trying to emboss some text. Font: Wingdings 2 Size: 200 Character: 9 (cassette tape) Now, to emboss this character, I select the Magic Wand (S), and click on the character. Instead of the character being selected, the entire screen is selected. Ok, fine. I'll invert this: CTRL+i and now *nothing* is selected. If I try to emboss this character without the character being selected, I get a screen full of gray. I don't want a screen full of gray. I just want the embossed character with a transparent background. Can this be done? Regards, Joe

Has anyone found a way to include clip art with PDN? Since clip art images typically include grab, rotate, and skew points, they would go a long way towards starting many basic projects.

There isn't a menu item for the above Subject line. Why not? Is it in the works? Are there too many serious bugs that need attention for the developers to include an Options page? I was going to set the PDN options for my desktop to open the last file automatically instead of opening to a blank project, but discovered there were no options to set. (Please relocate this post if it belongs under a heading other than "Questions & General Discussion")

Forgot to mention: I can copy from the Character Map, but I am unable to paste with v3.10 (even though the Paste icon is active).I did not realize this was a bug. I thought I might be doing something wrong. Live and learn!

I can not get certain Webdings fonts to display. Specifically, I am currently trying to get the Webdings chart character to display: To display Webdings fonts in WinXP, I hold down the ALT key while typing in the appropriate decimal number on the num pad; however, whenever I enter "ALT+143" for the chart character, I get the phone character (i.e. "ALT+197"). How do I get the font character that I actually want?
