  1. I lost all of my plugins in the forum move. (What? You expect me to use subpar plugins?) However! It's really easy to build. Here is a brand new one, just for you: silhouetteplugs.zip
  2. I think you like a few of my friends have been on that friends list since the phpBB3 ere ;)

  3. Hm? Is that my name I see on your friends list? How kind. :D

  4. I get what you mean!

Why do we need a status on a forum??

  5. I followed your quick guide, got to the part where I could edit my profile, but there is not a single area for the AIM information. Only other IM clients.
  6. There isn't a view your own posts link, but you can always use the Advanced Search option and search for all posts written by a specific author, in this case you.
  7. I see somebody found a Fast Reply mod Fast Reply only works in some places. I cannot see the Fast Reply in the offtopic thread, for example I second Simon's request for better icons per post and forum. Just minor alterations - like greyscaling or transparency - would really help at just glancing at topics.
  8. Another issue: On my profile page, my AIM account name is readily available. However, I cannot find a single place to change this setting. I see the area to change other IM clients such as YIM, Jabber, etc but not one for AIM.
  9. While I'm here, a few suggestions: IP.Gallery to eventually replace the Pictorium and IP.Downloads to replace the Plugins section. This would really be a lot sleeker and more intuitive, giving individual plugin authors more control over distribution. Also, now that we are on a better system I have a new Mod Staff position: Verified Community Leaders. VCLs are responsible for promoting growth of the community by taking on responsibilities such as: - Pin topics (Sticky posts) - Manage forum games both in the Alfredo and General Discussion - Manage the Galleria - Work as a separate entity (Their own private forum) Sample suggestions for this position: CommanderSozo (GD&Q), Oma (Pictorium), Simon Brown (Plugins), etc. They don't have the power of a moderator (they can't ban members, can't lock threads, can't access to the Mod Lounge) but they are verified personnel capable of making actions or replying to questions in more of an official capacity.
  10. Mine: I can' edit my gallery because I have exceeded the allotted number of images per post.
  11. As pointed out in the <offtopic>, there seems to be an image count restriction. This is rather annoying in the Pictorium as it has broken many galleries. Also, can we have the original PM count back (not 50) or no PM count at all?
  12. I think he means pinning plugins to the tools menu, which all of the sudden seems like a perfect solution to the 'Plugins cannot add new tools." argument.
  13. It is commonly called 'Shape3D' without the space. Here you go: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5271
  14. Actually, you can download the most recent published version of BoltBait's Feather plugin on www.SpreadPaint.NET
  15. Sorry, but the only plugins in that pack were the three Selection plugins (Bevel, Outline, and Feather) and of course Object Feather v3.0. Ya' didn't get it from me.
  16. On second thought, I wish I hadn't posted anything at all. I decided to read some of his other blog posts and the most recent one (http://community.tigranetworks.co.uk/bl ... iracy.aspx) is some of the best comedy I've read in a while. You know the Moore's Law? Tim Long says its fiction, so I guess it is. Them chronons.
  17. I responded. Just in case it doesn't get approved: Hidden Content: Hello, Tim Long. First, an introduction: my name is Mike Ryan and I often consider myself an emerging web and logo designer. While that is not qualification enough to formulate a professional response to your article I hope that the fact I run and operate a website dedicated to the visual image of Paint.NET (http://www.spreadpaint.net) is enough to describe what makes Paint.NET special as a free program.Fist of all, free software is for free people. Paint.NET is published as free and therefore as a free person you have the privilege of choice; you can either download and install the software or not. Regardless, it is you the user who has the responsibility to understand that the software required work, effort, and strength to create, publish and create a name for said software. So, Paint.NET required the work and effort of Rick Brewster as well as the other members of the early development party. How much work? We can only imagine based on the quality of the product. In Paint.NET's defense, I strongly believe that the software is of high quality and that Rick Brewster consistently makes well informed, educated decisions about the continuation of development. And for that, I as a free person should be given the right to donate to him and / or to see the advertisements on the Paint.NET homepage. If I don't want to donate, I won't. If I don't want too see the ads, there's an AdBlocker for that. But where free software like Paint.NET shines is that - because of the quality - it creates a community of highly diverse individuals. The Paint.NET community (http://paintdotnet.forumer.com) continues to exceed the expectations of many members. We, the community, always manage to push the envelope when it comes to new Paint.NET methods, tutorial publication, troubleshooting, plugin development, or in my case website creation. The community creates value for Paint.NET. Rick Brewster provides the choice. You ask Rick Brewster to be honest if it is free or not, but that isn't his choice to make. Do YOU think the software is free or not? Do you believe it is worth a money value? A time value? A work value? If so, then the options are there: Donate, see the ads, write tutorials, provide troubleshooting, develop plugins, whatever. Either way, everybody wins. - Mike Ryan
  18. Object Feather v3.0 Released For more information on this release including the download link, please visit http://www.SpreadPaint.NET!
  19. aguba, You might want to clarify that statement. It sounds like you are telling people that they can do yoututorial successfully using Mike's plugin as an alternative to the Alpha Mask Import plugin. Out of curiosity, what do you mean?
  20. In the new version if all of the settings were blank then it would run a black and white copy of the layer as mask. It doesn't do that anymore, instead not running any mask.
  21. Excellent tutorial. I've worked a lot on 3D before (check out my Gallery if you want to see) and we share a few differences in style. For instance, where you duplicate the layer a lot of times, I duplicate it two or three times then make it a solid using Pyrochild's Outline Object color using a color that is actually lighter than the object (or darker). I found this fixes some depth issues. For any newcomers: The currently published version of Alpha Mask Import does not work as described in this tutorial. For that, I suggest instead using my Isolate White / Black plugin.
  22. This is very impressive work. A+! I think it should be stickied...
  23. Use the ellipse tool with SHIFT held down and make sure you have Outline turned on ( :ShapeBoth: ). From there, choose the colors of the circles by selecting your Primary and Secondary color. The width setting will act like the difference in diameter between the two circles. I hope this helps!
  24. I'll go ahead and spoil it: it is Steam Punk. I figure that, based on the submitions from last time, we will all be treading through some new water and it will be interesting.
