Yep, thanks, I do that. I was wondering, my paint.net upgraded to a new version right before I started this new tut. Could that have anything to do with this particular plugin??? I tried from the guy's site and the post here and it just freezes my program (just paint.net)

Yep, this is exactly what I do. download zip and move it to paintnet effects. Never had this problem before either with any other plugin. Still no joy in Mudville.

I can't make any of the links--DLL or ZIP-- work. Every time I download this and think "now I got it"; I click on it, no screen opens, its screws up my image and freezes paintnet. What the heck? I'm new here, but not to DLLs or zips.

Thank you, I think I have just stared at it too many times to know what I prefer. Funny, but right after posting this I copied this tutorial!! So I'm going to start experimenting. Thanks again.

I am a neophyte but was trying out a variety of tutorials and plugins making a new signature and got this far and now am stuck: here's it with a picture, but I am not good at removing backgrounds and would like to make it transparent or something to stand out: and here it is with my siggy: Thanks in advance!! Thanks for the quick answer....the totally computer ignorant I live with thinks getting a program means one can do it all immediately! I will try both!

Just got paint.net and am really just learning. so here's my first try, be gentle . Got to play with gradient more--any tips?
