  1. Would you mind some constructive criticism? perspective .lighting ,texture ,ambiance. The pictures tell us about what you are photographing but they dont tell us how you feel about the objects. Capturing that old fashioned brick bridge in a fog with the right lighting would make us want to see a historic aromor clad knight riding out in his regiment with flag bearers. Just from a bit of fog and some blue hue from a sunset or sunrise. Taking a picture of an old building and showing some close detail and surroundings makes it personal and we can imagine the hands that carved the stone. The lighting tends to be a little ordinary, try pictures with evening shadows for depth. Feel your connection to the object and tell that story. Create a fantasy of what story you are telling with the photo. Often times when I create in a new medium such as this I just experiment for hours until something comes up and then it may cause me to think of a story it can relate to. Like the 8 hours on my easter egg abstract. I just experimented and erased until I happened upon a series of shapes that made me stop and say thats it. I didnt know what I was going for but that is cool.
  2. Dont worry dave I have a piece of rubber around here to keep you from biting your tongue off. HEHEHE thanks, man. I really need to brush up on the tuts and go through them all; I think I am going to blog this site at Dewds news. I think more folks need to know about this program. Although I could be persuaded with a plugin that edits in 3d to ,,,,,,, (joking) http://bigkitchen.spaces.live.com/default.aspx Blogged. I think I will just do a pic gallery and then commentate.
  3. I am really falling behind; This stuff is getting better and better and all I am doing is working on PDN web gfx.
  4. The tiles and the button on this old coat started with this one pic.
  5. The tiles were based on photo manipulation of a science tube with vaporizing gas.
  6. I have been playing with lightning, and thats not an easy thing to do. Putting this in a glass bar without polluting the overall look has been a test. here is the original. Magick wanding this bad boy requires a bit of experimentation.
  7. Interesting photo collection. Thank you!!! Which pic is your favorite????? The one of the clay roof top that looked like an optical illusion.
  8. Yeah I like asymmetry and abstraction a whole lot. Salvador dali, tchaikovski, and so forth. Dissonance and rsolution.
  9. Nice sigg. I intended the difference from one side to the other.
  10. Thanks I wish I knew as much as ash and oma and madjick. They should just have an option on the text with all the great artists names on it and a drool smiley for each time they post. Simple one click awe expression. Ash is a bieng from another world, I know it. I think he coaxes the electrons in the monitor while using PDN with some advanced telekenetic energy that is undeveloped in the rest of us.
  11. Yup I love pdn a whole bunch. The forums here are filled with inspiring folks and the program itself is just amazing. I cant wait for more 3d functionality, but its so awesome getting that look manually. Killer awesome ,super ,amazing and all those other cool words. PDN rules.
  12. You guys kill me, Jeezuz dewds !!! I bow to the masters.
  13. Thanks ash. It would be nice to have your understaning of PDN , But so far I am getting around nicely from the Tuts. I kind of surprised myself in my week of using this; I didnt know I had it in me. Yeah I am an artist type but, I have never dome Comp art befor I got PDN just over a week ago.
  14. How for the love of all that is worth painting ,do you do that? I am going to try for a plug in socket where the red ball is,,,,tomorrow and then ill think about that brush some more. Feathering and motion blur?
  15. That download site isnt good for me either, every one from there is invalid when i try to unzip.
  16. a total of 5 fragmented spheres. Thanks janet. Think vangogh and make some lines ,paint bucket them in transparent, shape 3d, magick wand and ctrl x select areas of view and then, start layering to your hearts content. Drop shadow aura. not convinced it was needed as filler. I NAMED IT "COOPER PAIR" Which is heavy tech talk for the way electronic signals work in some devices, purely atomic conversation and boring to most folks. You can find the subject on wiki. I suppose i could have called it cooper pair and the obligatory EM. which visually fits in abstract.
  17. You must have done that fire scale at a very large res. I am doing some blue and green fire scale maybe a few more colors, its a handy texture and if you double the tile effect you can make a diamond tuck look with great texture. So far one of my fave looks to combine with other stuff.
  18. Wow ash and blooper ,great stuff! What would really be nice is to have more flexibility with the plug ins. When i remember what I was thinking last night Ill fill that in  like having scene lighting like gimp has so you can make an orb or anything and adjust the lighting direction as you are layering the scene. Bieng able to rotate the orbs and the spheres outside ths plugin would be cool as well. Having a post render glass effect would be cool with some lighting options.
