  1. Thank you for the reply, pdnnoob. I was afraid part of the answer might be "a steady hand". Hopefully a PS guru is lurking somewhere. Perhaps I can use the PSFilter plugin.
  2. I'm looking to replicate the streaks effect on the above text. No doubt many of you brilliant people will look at this and be able to point to the right plugin without a moment's hesitation. I've been searching for hours. I'm sure it was done it Photoshop, but I don't own Photoshop to play around with it and Paint.net has so many plugins I'm going cross-eyed looking. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  3. I am interested in Windows 7, actually. I didn't realize that feature was there. I'm not sure this does me any good though, since the places I would be loading from and saving to would be rather dynamic. For example, my load location my be: /My Pictures/My Camera/Event and my save location might be: /My Pictures/Family/Year/Event one time and, because of a different year or event, something different the next. The way it I'm not going to create a favorite for each event that I take pictures for so that I can touch them up or what not. I guess, in the grand scheme of things, it isn't a big deal and if the feature can't be implemented then there is nothing I can do about it. I just thought I'd throw it out there. Thank you for the reply.
  4. I think this may be a unique feature request. It also may be tied to something other than Paint.net, so I apologize ahead of time for requesting the impossible. There are a number of times when I am editing pictures from one folder and saving them in another folder. It becomes quite tedious when I have to find the folder each time I open or save a picture. Now, the smart thing for me to do would be to open all of the pictures that I will be working with first. That way, when I start saving them, I'll only have to find the correct folder once. Unfortunately, this isn't how my workflow usually goes. Please make it so that Paint.net remembers the open and save folders as separate locations. Thank you.
  5. @oma, Ash Thanks for the support. Hopefully I can get some more things done in between school work. @oma Well, I'm new to paint.net, not paint programs. With the help of the tutorials, I can get around paint.net pretty well. Adding my own twist is not to difficult. Take it easy.
  6. I am new to Paint.net. I'm having a lot of fun with it, mostly due to the tremendous community support. Here is the first image I created: A modification of the "exploding planet" tutorial. I then went on to create a sig... I don't suppose anyone will take much note of these, but they were fun to do.
