  1. @ Oma: Do I see angels inside your Orb-like thing? Enjoy your holidays!!
  2. If you look through enough of Veromy's photos you will see some that have definate alterations made by PDN, or another editing software, but since he feels he should share them here I would guess he is using PDN. I looked at a lot of photos before I saw some of the edits. @usedHonda: I like both your icons (glass one better) but I really like your new signature! I just noticed it today and I am sure you have been using it a while but I just thought I would let you know.
  3. That is Amazing! Did you apply the water to the Spheres and then flip it on the horizontal or is there a setting (I would apparently be missing) to apply the water reflection on the top part of the screen? I just find this to have so many possibilities........Or is it waves that you applied? Sorry I missed this post earlier (I actually missed about 3 pages of posts), but this section of the forum changes so drastically everyday! Everyone does such amazing stuff with Paint.NET, I hope someday I can get to be 1/2 as good.
  4. That's a really nice pic. Do you have some sort of macro lens or setting on your camera? Every time I try to get in close like that, my subject blurs -- and I'm using the "macro" mode on my point-and-click digicam. Hmmph. That's probably an answer in itself... I have a Cannon PowerShot A630. On the Flowers I used the Portrait setting and I used the Macro (little flower image on the screen) too. I have found using a tripod will stop my camera from shaking when doing the really closeup photos. A tripod worked well for the lillies since they are about 2 1/2 feet tall. I have some pictures that didn't blur out the background like they were suppose to so I have used the Portrait plugIn of PDN to get it even better. By the way I am new to the camera also - forgive me for my lack of terminology use.
  5. no offense taken Spike. You don't care for them, Oma likes them. We are all entitled to our own opintion.......I was just messing around and thought it fit the image. Some other morph of the blue flower. The bounce is not right on the ball but it is....... well not right.
  6. Here is the flower again--honestly it started out that way-- with a little Kalidascope and I threw in some Polar Conversions. If Oma wants to Omafy this she is more than welcome.........
  7. Trooper made me feel like "tip-toeing through the tulips" so here goes the yellow lillies from my flower bed, to bad they were either white or pink last year (I have never grown yellow lillies)...... Original: Some selective colorization: Some WOW colors ( I am not sure what I did): And my favorite: Hue Sat and Curves + Same as above but with a Softened border:
  8. @ Oma, Do you happen to have a hutch that looks like that in your house?? My Grandmother had one like that! Along with the green bowl (hers had a small pedistal under it). !!Wonderful!! work ! You and Ash (an many others) always amaze me!
  9. That's really cool Trooper. I guess i haven't played with all the plug-ins or is that negative affect from the properties of the layers? I haven't played with that part of PDN yet.
  10. Here is something I did today while playing with plug-ins. I think I have downloaded and installed every dll file made for Paint.Net now. Take a look and let me know what you think. I know it could be better........ That is such a sad looking dragon (well it is suppose to be a dragon)
  11. Do I need to uninstall the earlier version of this plugin before installing the current version? Or will it overwrite the older version.
  12. Fix my quote tags? I am not seeing anything wrong with them. Did I fix them with the last edit (or did they correct themselves)? I looked and the open quote and end quote are both there. I appologize for whatever it is/was doing.
  13. Ash, I did ask and you told me Gradient Bars Plug in!! Okay I scrolled back to look and I asked about the Wing or Tree, I realized DaTiger used the same technique to get the paint brush effect..(It was Da Tiger I just found my post) I just haven't had time to get on the computer at home where I have Paint.Net to figure it out yet...... not like I can but I could maybe try. By the way I somehow missed an entire page of beautiful art work in the pictorum and wanted to tell you that that paint brush with the blue paint dripping was just totally amazing! I wish you could drip alittle bit of that talent my way!
  14. I just opened MS paint and that is a cool option. I don't beleive it is an option in Paint.NET (I don't have it installed on this machine to find out) but it could be made a requested option. Maybe someone could create a plug in........ wait could you do this with the Spirograph (http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=5945) plug in I saw just the other day? I haven't gotten a chance to install that one yet or use Paint.NET for a while. I could be completely wrong too so don't take my word for it "please".
  15. As a new user I am overwhelmed with all the Tutorials. I have tryed some that I thought looked quite hard but were in reality quite easy and others that looked a lot easier than they were. Some kind of rating system or organization would be nice. A suggestion for those of you who write many of the tutorials maybe you want to rate your tutorials in the title. Tell us if you feel it is an easy or difficult tutorial. I know I can't say for those of you who have over X# of posts are the only ones who should do this, cuz there is at least one member out there who doesn't post everything they do (low post #) but what I have seen is amazing and they have writen great, easy to follow tutrials too. But it could be a start for those of you who have done tutorials in the past. Maybe some of you who are more experienced using paint.Net could become Tutorial raters, designate "Raters" or volenteer to be a "Rater". I know it could take up a lot of your time, and take you away from your own creations but I think a lot of you go through and do of the tutorials that get posted here anyway (I have seen the same member names in response posts to almost all the Tutorials I have tryed). Well those are my suggestions. I hope I didn't take up too much of your time. Post got a lot longer than I initially intended.
  16. @Ash How are you doing those brush strokes? Is it a plug in I am just not seeing  ? Or is it one of your secrets? Beautifully Amazing Picture by the way.
  17. @ Oma: A synapsys pad is the little square touchy pad on my laptop that is used like a mouse. I haven't yet installed Paint.NET on my desktop. I really should considering the screen size difference, the cordless optical mouse, and the 460 Gig of hard drive space. I just find the couch a more comfortable place to sit and draw. Would a real mouse give better control when drawing, or would a marbel mouse? Any suggestions? Are there stores that have the graphic pads on display that anyone knows of? I suppose I could scetch on paper and scan it into the computer but my scanner seems to conflict with my computer as of late. I have no idea why - checked the drivers ect. @ Oma and Ash: Thanks for the compliments.
  18. Here is my attempt at actually drawing with a synapsys (sp?) pad (mouse touchie pad) I really think there has to be an easier way of creating pictures directly into paint. I think I would like a graphics tablet(pad) but would like to see them on display somewhere before just buying one and hoping I would like it, but there is nowhere around here that even sell them Take a look ---- what do you think? Definately not Oma's Lion by far!
  19. Boy do I feel like a nube! That makes perfect sense, though. I also see how it would slow down the program. When applying the freeform shape and then filling it in -- when my titlebar said 12% -- the shape and fill area in reality were Huge in comparison to what I was seeing. Hense a very slow sense of completion. Thanks for your responses!
  20. I searched for an answer to this question and read over 1500 topics but could find no answer. What does that Percentage on the titlebar of Paint.NET stand for? I do notice that the lower that number is the slower the program. Normally it is in the 95% range but tonight it seems to be running below 15%. What can be done to increase this number and the speed of the program? Thanks for any information you may share with me.
  21. @Oma: Here is a site that shows Ash's Robot arm/hand. Is this what you were looking for??? http://ashpdn.googlepages.com/ @MadJik: I should know to save, save, save. I just hadn't planned on keeping what I was doing.......... just running through a Tutorial to kindof learn what the tools and effects actually did when changing settings ect. I just ended up liking this last Something.
  22. Here is a little something I did earlier tonight..... I was actually trying a tutorial and got sidetracked after I crashed PdN 2 times....... hence the name of something3. Take a look and let me know what you think.
  23. How did you get the multiple colors? I have tryed paying around with the curves but only make things varients of one color or another. Sometimes the colors get really harsh. Apparently I don't understand the curves attribute yet, but anyway this is one of my favorites so far. I would much rather get a soft multi colored one. A little less pink/lavendar maybe a little yellow, lt green, more blue. I don' t even know what I did to get the blue..... didn't notice it until it was in photobucket. thanks for looking.
  24. I do want to thank all the people here who write tutorials to help share their knowlege and expertise. Without you guys I would still be making blobs!
