try using the magic wand tool to select the headband. if it is selecting too much adjust the tolerance to less and if it is selecting not enough then move the tolerance up. once you have selected the head band copy and then paste into new layer. then go back to your old layer and make it black and white. flatten the image and i think that will work edit: i forgot there was a tutorial :oops:

ok thank you i got it. i had an older version of shape 3d. it didnt have the option to chose the face that i wanted the pic to be on. thanks a lot.

ok your first layer has to be a gradient black at the top and then make it white at the bottom... and then create your other layer with the picture and then do the effect. im pretty sure that is how you do it...try and then get back and tell me your results
