  1. Hello theonlychad I think the overall composition of the abstracted piece is good. I am thinking that you used ‘inside out' to create the orbs (very nice) and 'tilling' with the 'rotate zoom' to create the rows. I agree with csm725 that it is too bright. If you used hue/saturation under adjustments and turned the saturation down a bit and the brightness down just a little and maybe changed the hue up a bit so you got a bit of green in there the orbs would stand out more from the background and it would be more pleasing to the eye...
  2. I like it sokagirl. I am so glad to see you like to play around with the plug-ins. I think along with tutorials it is the best way to learn.
  3. I would like some of that Sundae Bliss. Great job.
  4. sokagirl thanks, nice to inspire. I have been inspired by many others. Helen you should try the the two blurs that created that image. It is fun to see what happens, first use the fragment and trun up the distance then run the splinter and turn up the distance and set the mode to light. A Fleeting Glimpse I am happy there are others who like strange. I saw Avatar today and it was wonderfully strange. This is from 10-2007 and I think I just thought it to unremarkable I don't think so anymore. I don't remember how I made it but I named the file spiro so I must have used that effect (spiro graph or shape) looks more like roses was used to me????? I have alway been a big user of gradients. Now for the strange stuff (11-2007)
  5. There is something so very, very nice about your work, always. The Grandfather tossing the baby is precious.
  6. theonlychad Thanks and thanks for stopping by, I hope to have more time in the spring. welshblue I have always liked that daffodil myself. I can't say that about all my work. I have been going through my files that have gotten too big to deal with. I want to do something about it but I am revisiting my old images first. Some I have never shared before. These were done in 11/2007 I was very taken with fragment/splinter when I first discovered it as well as the 'Mandelbrot Fractal' plug-in, and there are some sparkles in there. I think back in 2007 I was afraid these were a little to strange to post. Fun for me to see this one again. I guess a lot of use have done the linking chain tutorial.
  7. I think it is about a thousand mile walk but do keep that invitation open. I run out of memory when working on a big file so I have learned to save my pdn often and close and reopen so I don't lose my hard work. Can I get that one in a tattoo?
  8. Sorry to hear you mom was ill and so happy to hear all is well with her now. 'Brandon Burns' is super, I really like it and the black and white that I think you said was busy I like busy and I like the image.
  9. Here I am again going "Love it, Love it". I never try to pick a favorite I just look around and love it. So much color!
  10. Helen thank you, I do love the artistic effects Lance McKnight Thank you I have been meaning to get back to Fans yellowman I do love to play with color, sometimes for fun I try to see just how many colors I can get into an image. I am sure there will be some of those coming up as I go through my files. Still sorting through my old files a little at a time. Gamit is a fun one from August of 2007, I was doing a lot of tutorials back then. The first thing that I notice about it is my edges. The stat was from 9/2007
  11. Hi, sometimes I see an image and I think, 'OH I did something like that'. I saw your green stars in the abstract thread and knew you had been playing with shapes. I like that one.
  12. Fleeting Glimpse Thank you very much and I don’t mind being mention in the same sentence with Helen. I admire her work. You have a great gallery yourself, I thought the 40 licks image was a fun image and I really like your sig. Some more old stuff done back in 12-2007. I can see I was playing with polar inversion then and kaleidoscope and I am still playing with them. I liked the old kaleidoscope plug-in better than the one we have now. It was simpler and that worked for me. There was 169 images in this folder and I am still amazed how I can start working on an image and end up in some unexpected place. If you only click on one thumbnail try the blue one with the green diamond. Maybe I should just say the third one.
  13. Oma, oma, oma I wish I could come over for coffee and watch you work your pdn magic. My life continues to be to busy and now I have stayed up to late so that I could look around the galleries. Just a few is all I have time for but you are always on my list.
  14. @barbieq25 Thank you and thanks for visiting my gallery @HELEN you do say the nices things, thanks. This, if I remember right was the first or second thing I ever posted to pdn I have a folder named madjik. I think you can guess who inspired that. It has about 100 images in it some good some oh wells. This one is named madjik3 and is from 9-23-2007. The first thing I noticed was the jagged edges. I have a scary 40.9GB picture file with 21,681 files and 417 folders I think about 12GB are pdn. I am going to be saving them and clearing some off my computer but I fell the need to revisit them first. This might take a while.
  15. I saw some of your images in the Abstract thread and really liked them. I love your style and look forward to seeing more.
  16. I don't seem to have time to create in my paint.net right now but I have been pdn prolific in the past. I have so much I have never shared so I have decided to begin to share some of my past work. These images were made in April of 2008 and there are 56 in the series. I won't bore you with all of them but here are 3. I named them all April.
  17. I love seeing your drawing. Maybe you are familiar with the famous Picasso quote: “A good artist copies; a great artist steals”. I’ll just say we all need a source of inspiration. My daughter likes to take a picture of her subject and set it next to her easel. I really like your work. You’re one to watch. I’ll be back. You have some great stuff here. So glad I stopped by. The magic hat is magic.
  18. Roadkill the bird is wonderful, Hutton fun weird I like it, Aislin bubbles are great. I took this picture yesterday. What an amazing sight to see, such a big snowman. Those arms are made of trees and he has lights at night. A little ink sketch, pastel and some layering it was a fun picture to work with.
  19. Whoa! I love the Avatar inspired image. Nice!
  20. Hello! So much to see. I went to you photobucket. I like the 'Wooden PDN' and the colored bubbles are cool. Great stuff.
  21. I come to your Gallery all the time when I am looking around and catching up but I have never left a comment. Don't know why. So I am leaving a comment so you will know I do stop by. I hear people say, "Clean work". That is what always comes to my mind. I think in you beats the heart of a true graphics artist. Though I am often a silent viewer I will be back to enjoy your work.
  22. I try and get around and catch up on galleries from time to time but there are a few I just love to visit. I love to visit your gallery! Happy New Year!
  23. It has been a while since I dropped by your gallery. Still great! When I open your gallery I love the color I am hit with. I hope to do better keeping up with everyone this year. Happy New Year!
  24. I just have not been around the forum enough in the past year. This is my first time in your gallery. I enjoy doing fractals sometimes and playing with them in pdn also. I like your ‘Planet Radio”. The ‘Technical Flower’ has a great background and the flower is lovely.
