I have an 8 X 11 image that needs to be shrunk down to about 1" X 1" (it's being put on a poker chip). It's obviously not working. I know the lines have to be thicker and/or darker so when they're shrunk they don't disappear. I don't really use graphic's programs, but I know basics. I am trying to make a template for 1" bottle cap hair clip designs. I'm fairly familiar with Paint.net, but not sure how to make a 1" circle. Just using the circle drawing tool would be virtually impossible to make it exactly 1". How would I do this? Thanks!

I came here looking for this option too, becuase I'm looking to put text in an oval and obviously not be straight. What is this plug in that was posted? Is it on the Paint.net website? I would like to be able to select the text, like put a rectangle around it, then just drag the bottom and curve it. I believe Logo Creator 3.5 has that option. Thanks.

Ok thanks!! That's prob. where I saw that... "move layer up" That will work fine, becuause I can just add a new layer for each graphic I'm adding, and move them around. Thanks so much!

I thought I remember seeing an option in PDN where I can bring an image to the front or send it to the back. Similiar to Logo Creator 3.5. Works great for "3D type" graphics. LIke this: (I started w/ the Troll and the sign, and added all the other stuff in, the raccoon, the corn, the basket, the pilgrim hat. The ground leaves are actually ONE STRING/ROW, I just duplicated them and made them smaller, placing each subsequent row behind. I then took ONE leaf gif and duplicated it, flipped it a few times and splattered them all over to create "falling leaves") I love PDN, and would love to be able to do this w/ this program instead of using so many diff. programs for each thing. (I already use PDN for making buttons, and smileys) Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply. ok, but I still have the white around the design. I did open this project, after it was flattened and saved from yesterday. (I started w/ the button, added the text on a new layer, flattened it and saved it as a jpg.) Could that be my problem? I could try it w/ a new one. Thanks!

Ok, new to PDN, and I love it. Already made the flames from the tut! I came to the fourms specifically looking for this problem,but I tried it and i got nothing. I still ahve the white backgroudn... What do I do w/ the magic wand? I hve the tolerance set to 0 and I hve the curser as a magic wand. i tried selecting the part i want transparant and tried to delete it, but all I get are the gray and white ssquares. PLEASE HELP! ps--i'm trying to make the white around this graphic transparant:

Boy I haven't been playing w/ PDN for very long, I use only the basic stuff, but I would love to use all the funtions! I made the first fire...the "real"looking fire , then this: Because I love purple!
