No, JPEG can't contain layering information. Nor transparancy, but that is not of any importance. I suggest you save it as both a JPG, and a PDN file, and edit it with the PDN file when you feel like it, so you can overwrite the JPG later.

I made this with the World map -> Globe Tutorial, and the gradient bars: I'm using it for a HL2 mod. It's the Earth Logo.

I guess you moved it too far out of your screen. Just higher your resolution, and you should be able to find it. I had this too

The new skins we are developing mostly have compact options, mine aswell... Just wait for the contest to finish, then you'll see some nice idea's

Yes, those were made for resizing the window, Because some might be a bit to big...
