  1. Ok, I'm stuck lol. I followed the tutorial and traced the outline, but I have no idea where to go from here. The magic wand tool keeps selecting everything instead of the background.
  2. Thank you! I'm slowly learning about what this program can do, and I really appreciate all the help!
  3. It's perfect!! Could you please tell me how you did it? It's wonderful!
  4. Here it is  There's other things I want to do to it as well, but the background is what's confounding me.
  5. Hello, I finally have the latest version of Paint.net! I took a picture of my aunt and her daughter, and unfortunately, the household we were visiting at the time was a mess, so I would like to defocus the background while keeping the rest sharp. I have tried the magic wand tool at different tolerance levels so that I can selectively defocus, but it's not selecting how I need it to select. I did do a search here, but I can't seem to find what I need. If someone could either point me to a tutorial or describe what I need to do, it would be much appreciated!
  6. Actually, it's the Version 2.5, 2.6x, 2.7x. I have no choice because I have win2k (cannot afford to upgrade, period) and the latest version is not compatible with win2k. Anyway, I'm still hoping I can figure out how to get my adjustment back.
  7. Nope. All I did was click sepia, and it gave me the ability to adjust it. Today it won't. In fact, when I look at the press release for my version, it lists "sepia adjustment" as a new feature:
  8. Really? I was so happy yesterday because I was able to choose the "percentage" of sepia, so my pic came out great. I hope I can figure this out....
  9. Yes. It just "renders" the image as sepia without allowing me to customize it like I was able to yesterday.
  10. Hi there! I am having a problem with the sepia function. The first time I used it was yesterday, and when I clicked "sepia", a box popped up that allowed me to customize the sepia look -as in what percentage. Today when I clicked "sepia", it just rendered the image as sepia without allowing me to customize the percentage. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
