  1. Does anyone still play Morrowind? I was looking through my admittedly small game cabinet for the Half-Life 2 manual. I couldn't find it, but at the very back I found an old dusty Morrowind CD. I wanted to kill some time, so I loaded it up and now I'm addicted to that 7-year old game. I think that there is a sequel out now, but its hard to get out of my chair to go to the store 'cause I'm so hooked. In other news, I found out how to play a PC game in windowed mode for those that don't offer it as a built-in setting. Quite useful in today's multitasking world.
  2. I remember that movie from years ago! I love the part when the rural people think the main character guy is an alien from a comic book or something.
  3. I think it is: -Real (no question about THAT) -Manmade (Not completely, but a good-deal mostly) -If anything, underexaggerated (if that makes sense).
  4. It helps add to the whole toy-model effect to up the saturation a tiny bit.
  5. Please tell me that was a joke. Please. Well, it was intended to be a lighthearted elbow-nudge kind of comment, but it came off wrong. My apologies to every forum member who now thinks I'm an arrogant USA supremacist. Yeah, knowing you I had a feeling it was like that but the lack of emoticon made me suspicious. EDIT:
  6. And doctors guiding human euthanisation is legal in Oregon (with the patient's consent of course). EDIT: Wow. Obama --> Euthanisation. This thread is swerving into crazy off-topic madness. EDIT2: Can there be crazy madness? EDIT3: That is does that make sense gramatically?
  7. dont doctors hae to treat everyone even if they can't pay? they take some sort of oath. [\quote] Not really. They aren't obliged to. The Hippocratic Oath doesn't say that. EDIT: I'm not sure about the alternative by Louis Lasagna.
  8. Well, who else would need the support? The hard workers? YES! Hard workers who happen to be victims of the circumstances! I'd give you an example, but ShadowsofTears (?) already gave a better example than I could ever give. Please tell me that was a joke. Please. -------------------------------------------------- "...I believe in a graduated income tax on big fortunes, and in another tax which is far more easily collected and far more effective; a graduated inheritance tax on big fortunes, properly safeguarded against evasion, and increasing rapidly in amount with the size of the estate." ~Theodore Roosevelt "Because of things I have done on behalf of justice to the workingman, I have often been called a Socialist. Usually I have not taken the trouble even to notice the epithet. … Moreover, I know that many American Socialists are high-minded and honorable citizens, who in reality are merely radical social reformers. They are opposed to the brutalities and industrial injustices which we see everywhere about us. " ~Theodore Roosevelt
  9. I assure you that the large majority of these people aren't alcoholics, or "lazy hicks". They are just victims of the circumstances. Yes, there is always one who abuses the system and doesn't deserve it, but the ratio of the former to the latter is likely hundreds to one.
  10. Wow. Awesome tutorial. These outcomes look amazing.
  11. Hey! Cool new tutorial folder-system thing!
  12. Ummmm..ok..? :? This thread has been off topic for a while. So....I've heard news that the Obamas are getting a new dog, huh*? Rumour is that they are leaning towards a Goldendoodle. *Not completely off topic ;-)
  13. Rolling. On. Floor. Laughing. Back on topic: A few points: *I agree, McCain's concession was very well done and it really was a pleasant surprise. *Since domestic issues such as education and health care do not directly affect me, I really only focused on the candidate's foreign policy. *I think that Obama's plan to talk to enemies is better than McCain's. Some guy (I don't remember his name) said once that the reason that humans are the dominant species on the Earth is because they can talk instead of solving their disputes by blind fighting. OK, I know, yes, there is some scientific discussion that elephants can actually rudimentarily (sp?) talk to eachother, but whatever .
  14. I think you're talking about "His Truth Is Marching On," a Christian hymn used as marching music during the American civil war. :-) Not technically American or patriotic. :-P I've been watching a lot of these political thingamathings recently so: I play the "foreign national" card.
  15. nsbolinger: Look at this: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26967 After completing that tutorial, create a new layer, place the new layer underneath the layer containing the cut out image. Hit "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously on your keyboard. Change the primary colour to black in the colour window. Hit the "Backspace" key on your keyboard. @Myrddin - I think he is trying to cut out the subject of a photograph and place it in front of a black background, not fill the canvas with black.
  16. I have the vanilla version (even that looks good!): http://www.slipperybrick.com/wp-content ... er-8gb.jpg
  17. I'm addicted to the tune of this American patriotic song called "Glory, Glory Hallelujah". I can't concentrate on anything because I keep on hearing "daaaa-da-dada-daaaa-da! daaaa-dadadadadadaa!" in my head. Oh and my new TV plan includes Discovery Channel India, so I can finally watch Mythbusters! David got me hooked on it. Thank you!
  18. Oh my golly goodness. I just got a Sandisk Cruzer. Most beautiful flash drive I've ever seen.
  19. Today is the day I have finally converted to Gmail. And frankly, I'm not really missing Yahoo Mail. At all.
  20. Ouch, that one was close. It is obvious that both were heavily prepped for this. I'd say that Biden won with a small margin.
