  1. yy10, you're back! long time, no see.
  2. I agree, there are some great entries for this SOTW. For the first time I actually voted for more than one sig.
  3. Those are all wicked amazing! That first one though, wow! Excellent job barbieq!
  4. Must have taken you a lot of time and energy to create this. Well done.
  5. Does your netbook meet the minimum requirements? If so, it should work fine. Welcome to the forum.
  6. So you're basically asking for a shortcut to open and close all windows simultaneously, correct? Not sure if Rick will consider this. It's not really much of a hassle to open and close each individual window. If you find yourself forgetting which window each function key opens/closes, why not just keep a small guide on a notepad by your PC? F5: Tools F6: History F7: Layers F8: Colors Welcome to the forum and happy Thanksgiving.
  7. I appreciate the hard work, Rick. I actually haven't tried the 4.0 preview version yet because I'm holding out for the full release of 4.0. I know it's going to be worth the wait.
  8. Paint.NET has the ability to align text both left and right. You can choose your font, font size, fill style, alignment, etc. Look up top, all the options are there.
  9. I think the issue is probably your image dimension being 1600x2400. The plugin probably has a hard time working with large images, but don't worry there are plenty of ways to make a simple border. 1. Create a new image with the dimension 1594x2394 2. Delete the white in the background so that you have a transparent image 3. Set your secondary color to light grey (the color you want your border to be) 4. Hit Control+Shift+R to change your canvas size and use the following settings: Width:1600 Height:2400 Anchor: Middle Make sure maintain aspect ratio is unchecked 5. Click OK. You should now have a 1600x2400 image that is just a light grey border 6. Copy the image and paste it on its own layer on your original image. Good luck
  10. Give the border it's own layer. Use the same Borders N' Shapes plugin to start your border and use these settings: Shape: Rectangle Width: 3 Color: Light grey Pattern: Solid As for your second question, I'm not sure what rectangles you're speaking of. Is it the selection outline of the border with the nodes for resizing? If so, that can't be avoided.
  11. I like the sunset you made. You have some potential and I'd like to see what else you can create.
  12. Thank you all for the comments. They're always appreciated. I'll try to have a update soon. The Pictorium has been pretty slow this past week.
  13. Congrats HELEN on your victory! I voted for you. ...but don't tell anyone. >_>
  14. Of course! Why didn't I think of the Recolor tool? Eh...I'm tired.
  15. I'm not sure what the exact size of your image is, but if you're working with an image the size of the one you presented it's going to slightly difficult to recolor it. You'll probably want to zoom in (and I mean zoom far in, maybe 500%) and use the Lasso Select tool to select the area you want to recolor. After doing so, use the Hue / Saturation and adjust the Hue until you get to color you're satisfied with. Do this with all the sections in your image you want to recolor. There might be an easier way to do it. Maybe someone else can find another solution. Good luck. In the future, try to keep you questions a little shorter and to the point. Welcome to the forums.
  16. The rectangular selection tool is just going to select the area you pick. In short, you're using the wrong tool. Hit control +A to select the whole layer and then select the Move Selected Pixels tool .That's the one you want. You can move your selection and resize it. Welcome to the forums.
  17. I agree. The first and third one don't have any depth. It's just a render over a background. Good job with the second one though.
  18. That would be Tile Reflection. Effects > Distort > Tile Reflection Welcome to the forums.
  19. It was a great turnout this week. I've made my votes. Great job to everyone.
  20. You've outdone yourself barbieq! They all look amazing. I didn't even know they started out as photos from your garden until I read what you posted. Amazing work!
  21. A great start to your gallery. I definitely see a lot of roses. Keep it up.
  22. ^^ Oh goodness lets not start another debate.
