Yes, to do that, click add new layer :AddNewLayer: , fill the new layer white, and move it down :Down: .

That shows you have transparent pixels, meaning you selected something and moved it or deleted it, if you fill that area with white the checkerboard pattern will go away. If you don't want that to happen again put a layer below the one you are working on and fill it white. Hope that helped.

Would it be possible to write a zoom blur plugin that, instead of bluring from the center out, would blur from the outside inward?

Google toolbar has a nifty web form spell checker, I use it all the time.

1 Create a new layer, 2 type in your text, 3 change your color to the color you want the font stroke to be, 4 apply Effects - Outline, 5 fill the outline with the desired color, 6 merge layer down. this should get you something like this: Is this similar to what you want?

Thanks for the clarification, CMD. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but is used the basic principle of this tutorial (the ability to save histories would be of great help in so many ways :wink: ) If I figure out how I did it I'll post the steps somewhere.
