Sounds like you may have a third-party program starting at boot that's interfering with paint.net. Do you experience the same issue if you run paint.net in Windows Safe Mode?

Either one. However, I think it would be cooler if people did their own original designs, rather than copying an existing brand.

Would anyone be opposed to archiving 'Image Battles' and 'Sig Battles'? They are both extremely inactive, and when they are active, their respective rules are not followed.

I've failed to understand what your issue is. Perhaps you can describe it better. What are these two images? Are those the models rendered in Flight Simulator with your textures?

Howdy @Snow_Owl, Looks like a Direct2D issue. If you close 'Fraps', does it still crash? If you run paint.net in Windows Safe Mode, does it still crash? Are your Nvidia video drivers up-to-date?

Your previous installation became broken some how. Use this utility to remove that previous installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall Afterwards, install paint.net anew.

This image file has a strange (non-square) DPI: 150x104 DPI.

Yes, just change the Opacity in the Colors window. Those are not colors, per se. You get a metallic look because of how light reflects off these materials.... Therefore, they can't be represented by solid colors.

Can you post one of the original files that has the issue?

I think you mean "Closed, Half Circle".

Well, then don't move the horizontally. Use the Arrow keys if you need to. Or Ctrl+Arrow key.

Hmm, it's strange that you see a black screen (with a cursor) even in Safe Mode. Definitely something wrong with Windows itself, as third-party programs aren't run in Safe Mode startup. Maybe the big update tomorrow (Windows 10 1709 / Fall Creator Update) will fix it.

The text becomes regular ol' pixels, so there's no "easy" way. I usually just retype the same text, and then mash the down arrow key on the font menu until I see that the two match. There are also tools that can help, but they're not always reliable. For example: https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/
